really no difference between the 600cc class. it all depends on the driver. i'v won some he's won some. as far as the difference between the bikes there's quite a bit. my seat sits much lower than his (hasn't been lowered) and skinnier which allows me to tuck and hug my gas tank much more since his yamaha seat is much boxier and higher. his bike has two electric fans (stock) on his radiator and mine only has one so his bike cools down much faster than mine and these are only a few of things

I really like this video. I just bought a 2001 Yamaha R6 and the guys I ride with have 2007 GSXRs so I am a big fan of both bikes.

@tjohalloran1994 lol it's all good man. my buddies helmet is an icon helmet that i believe he bought at a motorcycle shop in Palmdale CA (and paid a grip for it). My helmet is pretty sad, i was broke at the time after just buying the bike and my buddy being a good friend, bought me a HJC helmet for like 40 or 50 dollars online at motorcycle superstore.

@I3ellamy09 as far as the gsxr goes, i changed the color scheme among other things 2 so pretty much there's not really one out there yet that looks quite the same. People stop me all the time and tell me they've never seen one with my colors before. it's like the purple blue color body with mustard yellow accents. can't really see all the detail in the video.

@RaptureIZI no,lol it wouldnt. What suzuki lacks on low end they gain on top end. It would be pretty much equal.

@RaptureIZI we've run many times, same result. THE SAME! his bike has a mega exhaust and is the raven edition so it's a little big lighter and a little big more power but really not noticeable. If you really want a faster bike, go buy an R1 or Gsxr 750. 600cc class pretty much all runs the same give or take a better rider.

To answer @oldzealand1 the difference between a normal r6 and a raven r6 is 16hp and 36lbs lighter. Not just a paint scheme like most people think ;)

@MrTerrific197 i've been on my buddy's bike (the r6) and i ride my gsxr all the time and really they are both great bikes. really no difference in power. love how the seat on the gsxr allows u to get into the bike with a skinny low seat because it allows u to really take control with your knees and the direction that you want to push. the r6's seat is more of a square design that forces your knees outward and keeps you further back on the seat. I would sit on both bikes 1st before buying.

im lookign at an 04 gsxr 600 and a 05 R6 ... the R6 is more money, and less trouble to purchase.. i`m having trouble deciding.

@zythaine my buddy is the one riding the R6 and i'm on the GSXR. My bike had about maybe almost twice as many miles on it than his and we paid the same price for our bikes. Really the only difference that we have found is the riding position on the two bikes is different. Second, the 06 R6's oil filter is not fun to change lol.
