Yes that's right the image is upside down and reversed left to right!...you get used to it. Alternative is to use an external LCD monitor and use the digital lip image functions to correct. Consumer camcorders can be fooled by placing a magnet on the LCD hinge area to activate the 'reed' switch which will automatically invert the image on screen.
