Re-reading my comment, though, what I just said does make me sound like one of those twats who try to be holier-than-thou and nicey-nice to everyone. I'd just like to say that I do do find a lot of troper tales to be very funny as a lot can be ridiculous and/or creepy. But I just don't think that making fun of shy people is nice.

I know I'll probably be flamed or something for this, but isn't it kind of immature to make fun of shy people? Obviously quite a few of the ones on this page are looking for attention, but then a lot of others probably do have problems with shyness. And a lot of these guys are just teenagers. I bet a lot of people have said silly things they regret on the internet. Maybe some of these tropers just wanted to get their feelings off their chests and didn't feel they could talk to anyone they knew.
