@amadison7 I saw John in concert last year (2010) He exudes warmth and sincerity. When he's happy with his performance he gives a little grin (that's adorable). What very memorable was when the audience stood and clapped, his whole expression was of genuine thanks: you could see him choked up. I've seen other performers---jazz, classical, etc.---and how they react to standing ovations and John's reaction was the more heart-felt I've seen.
