  • My grandfather was there. His name was Donald Blott and he knew Paul Brickhill and Roger Buschell and Wally Floody.

  • yeah pity about the wind but great video all the same.

  • These are brave soldiers and brave men of war......amazing true story.....very inspired by these men and to see the real site where it happened

  • @cornuk, how long did the tunnel take to build?? great vid btw

  • They found 113 tunnels all over the camp when they returned after the war. They would work on different tunnels depending on the instructions from the X committee. I dont know how long it took to dig tunnel Harry. I'll ask Frank when I see him next.

  • This is great! My father, Lt Speer, was a prisoner there also from June 1944 until the forced march in January 1945. He describes the camp life and the march in his book, One Down, One Dead. I would love to get him back there to see his old "home" from long ago.

  • 4 months - 180 views - No comments. My Dad was in hut 120 as a forger. I've visited the camp 5 years running. in 2010 I'll be traveling the route of the forced march to Trenthorst / Lubeck. (●‿●)

  • Shame about the wind noise, sorry but it was bloody windy and sooo cold. Corn
