They found 113 tunnels all over the camp when they returned after the war. They would work on different tunnels depending on the instructions from the X committee. I dont know how long it took to dig tunnel Harry. I'll ask Frank when I see him next.
This is great! My father, Lt Speer, was a prisoner there also from June 1944 until the forced march in January 1945. He describes the camp life and the march in his book, One Down, One Dead. I would love to get him back there to see his old "home" from long ago.

My grandfather was there. His name was Donald Blott and he knew Paul Brickhill and Roger Buschell and Wally Floody.
