Sorry for the late response--callouses is the only answer--practice regularly, stop before cutting into the fingers... My callouses are about equal between fretting and picking hands...

hey thats amazing!how do u do that, because im a beginner guitarist (16) i'm not getting lessons but i know the fundamentals, so im not bad at strumming and knowing my chords (except barré chords which i cant do!) tlk soon

if you cant get get lessons watch vidoes like this and stuff eric johnson does and watch the fingerwork. dont expect to be able to get it fast just see what other people do.
