'64 Ampeg R12R Mood Swing-Clean

Hey, this is a good sounding amp. Could you please tell me which tube lineup this one has? There are a bunch of versions of the r12r and I'm going to build one....but I want to know which one this is so I get the right circuit. I appreciate any help.

With this configuration the amp is more aggressive and also bench tested 21 watts RMS clean, 28 watts peak clipping.

The octal preamp version is not quite as powerful 18 watts +/- and delivers a smoother response.

@OgreDaddy Oh thanks for the reply. Cool, I think I"m going to build the octal version as lower power and smoother are both pluses for my needs. Plus I already have the octal tubes and what not. Cheers.

Right now I have the R12R loaded with a 2001 Fane Axiom

and I''m liking the crisp detail.

The C-Rex is warmer, but the Fane holds together better on the low end once you start pushing the volume.

Both speakers are a good choice for these amps.

The '93 Strat Plus is a wonderful recording guitar.

Mine has all Gold Lace Sensors and they are remarkably

quiet and clearly deliver that great single coil quack.
