poeple say u need a firewire connection because there is no usb...but what exactly is a firewire connection...how much is it? Good job tho man...so ur telling me this is stock? alot of people tell me the little door rattles on the camera. U get the same problem?
firewire transfers files a lot faster than USB connection does. If you can imagine how big a file is as far as HD video qaulity goes, a USB wouldn't be able to upload that much information. Note that some camcorders do have that option, but with a lot of these camcorders going HD, you'll more than likely need a firewire connection. Majority of the time it'll be a 4pin to 6pin connection.
Actually USB has a higher max transfer rate. The difference is that USB 2.0 transfers files in bursts and firewire transfers files in a constant stream. This means either is better for certain tasks. The constant stream is optimized for video transfers.
Well, I'm guessing your computer has a card slot. You can probably find a Firewire adapter that plugs into the card slot. I did that when starting out. I think they sell them at Best Buy. They are relatively cheap compared to most video equipment.
very nice! i just got my HV30 and im excited to shoot something with it, did you have to do a pulldown on this or you just edited the raw .m2t file on sony vegas?
The shutter speed and everything was on the default. I captured with Sony Vegas and just messed with the contrast and brightness pretty extremely, haha. I finally got a new canera, haha.
Did you do the slow motion while editing on the computer or does the camera record it like that?

Nice video! Looks like a ton of post editing filters. I like the look though. How did you do the first airplane shot look?
