Very lucky people. Well, I can't complain. I saw Paul two months ago and it was my biggest dream come true, but to see the two remaining Beatles playing together... that's beyond words. Anyway, I still hope I will see Ringo soon. Great vid, dude.
A very historical moment. They hadn't played that together since 1968! Wow! What a feeling to see the two remaining Beatles playing on the same stage! Epic.
OK, I saw Paul live the other week and he was truly amazing, giving 110% over a 3 hour period, but I'm afraid your comment makes no sense. Paul was 1 of 4 Beatles which would make him 25% of the group (as was Ringo), which means that with Paul and Ringo on stage together, it makes up 50% of the Beatles, OK?@katrin2801
The question often comes up about why Ringo has another drummer on stage with him. Well for those who have never seen him perform live, most of the songs he sings he comes out in front of the band and then when someone else is singing, like in the all starr tours, he goes back to his drum set and he plays along with the other drummer.. So when Paul came out for the last song the other drummer stayed on stage where he had been for the entire concert.
I love you Paul!!! You too Ringo! Happy 70th birthday...and please come to Reading Sovereign Center!!! If not there, then Hershey or Wachovia!!! Both of you!!! I am a 60 year old fan and have loved the Beatles from the start. I miss you John and George...you guys should still be here rockin' away!
its a trill to see history and be able to see them together the best band ever ,seen paul twice last year he sings and playes like hes 17 un real what an opetunity to see one of the best mus if not the best on the planet im going to see him in philly aug 15 2010 i sawrigo last week hes sensation thell live forever i feel very fotunate to be able to see theses guy play it dosnt get better then this thanks guys love peace
Great video! I was there in the 13th row right on the aisle just left of center and this video looks like the view that I had! Thank you for letting me relive that magical moment! Peace and Love!
Yoko was on stage for With a Little Help From My Friends with about 20 others including most of the previous All Starr crew. She ran right over to Ringo to be the center of attention but no fortunately one gave her a microphone. Paul doesn't like her so there's no chance he'd invite her to sing with him. Plus, this was a surprise for Ringo and Yoko would love nothing better than to spoil Paul's surprise.
My wife & I had a great night!! It was just magical. Terrific concert and then when Paul came on it was just unbelievable. We were so lucky to be there.
It was incredible. I'm all screamed out from last night. And it was a great show even before Paul came on. I don't know if you can get the true noise level from this but it was insane!
@meanwiddlekid You're so lucky!!!!! Glad you had an incredible time! Of course when it comes to The Beatles, incredible is an understatement to describe how amazing they are. :)
That was really awesome! For those who went to his B-Day concert are so lucky!
I still find it amazing how great he looks for a 70 year old! He doesn't look anywhere near 70! Wow! :D And I thought it was sweet, emotional, and adorable when Ringo and Paul embraced, and kissed. Lifelong friends forever! May God bless them with many more happy and healthy years! :,)
@BeatleStone It`s as close to the Beatles as it can be. I`m so jealous. You pay for one beatle, and gets two! I`ve seen Paul live before and he was fantastic, but i would love to see Ringo too!
Love, love, loved it!!! Great to see them play together on stage and share a moment like that - makes a heart feel good. See you in Charlotte, Paul xxxooo

@Yellyist Ringo does his All Starr Band tours pretty regularly. He always has excellent bandmates. I wrote a post about the other night, on my blog Magick Sandwich. It's called Happy Birthday, Ringo, in case you're interested....I'm not trying to push my blog or sell anything. It's just my version of freaking out seeing Paul and Ringo play together.
@octurianbaby Yes i know. Have you seen Paul before?? He did three sold out shows at city field last year. If Ringo comes to town, i will go and see him. I`m gonna read your post. I`d like to hear all about it!
@Yellyist No, I've never seen Paul before--what a rush, even just to hear him play one song. Apparently, "Birthday" has never been played in public until now--just in the studio. How friggin' cool is that?
I hope Paul will tour again so I can see him do a whole show..
I hope you'll like my post! (My blogger handle is kathcom, btw.)
@octurianbaby Paul has done "Birthday" live before. It`s on his live album "Tripping the live fantastic" from 1991. You should go and see Paul, cause he`s a great live artist. His voice is still very good, and his band is great. He`s doing "All my loving" "Let and be" "Hey Jude" just like he did when he was in the Beatles. He`s has recently added "Ob,la,di-ob,la,da" to his set list. I checked in on your blog. It was very interesting to read about it. Thanks for tipping me off:)
@Yellyist Thanks for letting me know about Paul playing Birthday live--that got misreported and I believed it. Maybe it's the first time the two of them are playing it live? I've got to go fix that in my post. Thanks for reading it. I'll make sure to catch Paul if he plays again here.
@octurianbaby He played it for the first time on his 4th of july gig in Washington in 1990. He`s been playing it ever since. But it`s the first time he plays it with RIngo. Ringo and Paul did "With a little help from my friends" together last year in New York at a special benefit concert. Paul wrote that "With a little help from John" especially for Ringo. It`s a very rare occasion that Paul and RIngo performs together, so you were lucky. You payed for one beatle, and got two:) I`m so jealous!!
I was there also and through the magic of the Jumbotron close up, you could see that after hugging Ringo at the end, Paul was crying. The other players were Rick Derringer, Joe Walsh and Edgar Winter.
I was there too! What an amazing experience! And if you notice the woman in the white hat at the end of the video is Yoko getting hugs from Ringo and Paul!!! She had just been onstage with numerous others (Zak Starkey, Nils Lofgren, Little Steven, Jeff Lynne, Dave Stewart, Jim Keltner...) singing With A Little Help From My Friends and Give Peace A Chance!
