In Case the Lotus Omega has 377hp, but has more torque than the m5, almost as ferrari F40. I supposed the m5 had between 410-415hp, but who knows that Lotus isn't chipped still good for early 90. In spec. Lotus hit almost 177mph m5 without limiter and stock 400hp do 186mpg. all in all Omega it's now classic and it's more valuable than m5 when you consider the money and price.

Carlton Omega is 20 years old car, At that times it was second to none.

Opel is not producing omega more. But in 2003 I suppose there was a omega with 5.7 V8 chevy corvette engine (because some opel motors are produced by GM)

A BMW M5(E39) with out limit can do something 300 km/h to and this is not the newest M5 try with the e60 or the new coming f10.

Not bad, this 18-year old 3.6-litre Vauxhall accelerates almost identically to a 5.0-litre BMW with £1000's of modifications... Excellent! I realise this comparison only holds up to 155mph when the BMW hits its limiter and the Vauxhall goes on to over 180mph. But I'm sure I'll be able to live with that ;-)

@donkmeister Also to be fair, 370 horsepower (or whatever the Carlton had) isn't hard from a 3.6 litre turbocharged engine, not even at the time it was made. It's far harder to make 400 horsepower from a 5 litre naturally aspirated v8. :)

Modified with 50BHP more than Carlton traction control etc and several years of technology and the Carlton still shows it up off the line. The Carlton is worth 10 M5's in my book.
