  • slow that reamer down sucka!

  • @as45400 I had it on the lowest speed, which is 600 rpm IIRC. The video framerate makes it look like it's going faster than it actually is.

  • so the reamer you went with is about a .300 size in this video, right? just trying to make sure i have my math correct.

  • salam 3laykom anta massri ?

  • would a romainian gp75 7.62x39 barrel work with my original bulgarian ak 47 kit and trunnion? trunnion is original bulgarian also.

  • @cjjr129 not if you want to use the original sight and gas blocks. The Bulgarian AK was a Type III pattern rifle and had a much thicker barrel with thicker mounting journals for the blocks. I'd search for a Type III AK pattern barrel.

  • @cjjr129 yugo barrel works with some light mods

  • does anyone know if a yugo 7.62 barrel will work with a romanian kit?

  • does a barrel with a matching serial number need to be checked for headspace?

  • @gorak142 In my opinion every build needs to be checked for headspace. It is possible to install a barrel incorrectly on a numbers matching kit. IMO, if you are building guns, you check headspace, period.

  • can you do a video on a new barrel head space. also can you do one with a barrel that is oversized, I am assuming you mill the diameter of the barrel component vs messing up a $100 barrel. Can you advise correct tolerances when mating components to a barrel, or suggest book, video etc that has that info?

  • Great video. I see how these methods could be used on many applications where 2 holes don't line up. Thank you for the great instructional videos It has really helped give me confidence to explore doing a build myself (I have always wanted to do a heavy barrel build).

  • Show us some completed rifles man! How well do they shoot!? ^_^

  • If you have a virgin barrel which does not have the barrel pin groove can your drill like this to create the grove?

  • @dovii4ever with a virgin barrel I would plunge a 7mm end mill to keep the drill from wandering and give the drill a flat surface to start. Follow up with a slightly smaller drill, then chase it with a 7mm reamer and use the factory barrel pin.
