People, I know Craig acted like a right idiot pretty much all the way through McDean, but come on. All his life he only felt attracted to GIRLS had the most popular girl in school as his GIRLFRIEND and a best mate who would walk on broken glass for him - perfect. Then he realizes he has feelings for someone who happens to be a guy. It's not the most easiest of things to deal with. Okay I'm done ranting >.>

One of the things I like most about McDean is how well suited the boys are for each other. They're both flawed, but that makes it work. They're at the same level of development. They're young boys who get each other and love each other despite everything. Like Craig said when he returned, they fought all the time but always made up afterward. Kieron is a good guy, but he's too good for and just doesn't match up with JP well. Plus the "I gave up the church" nonsense is irritating lol.

They had something JPK didn't - CHEMISTRY. I do generally think JP cared for Kieron, but he LOVED Craig. Take into account that Craig's life went upside down when he had feelings for someone who happend to be a bloke.

Its so true and so sad at the same time. I really do prefer JP and kieron together than i do JP and Craig. I think that what JP and Kieron had was a real relationship whereas JP and Craig's relationship revolved around Craig and Craig alone. He kept JP hanging everytime he couldn't face up to his sexuality and somehow JP still hung around for him because Craig was his first love. Plus Kieron gave up a lot to be with JP whereas Craig didn't sacrifice enough for JP as far as I see.

Niall was just twisted; he was Myra's firstborn and she abandoned him when he was a baby. She felt awful about it but it destroyed him; he came back to seek revenge on the McQueens for having the life that he never had and Kieron was JP's lover and the first one to find out who Niall really was. So it was killing two birds with one stone; hurting JP and protecting his secret. :(
