I bought a broken down HSP Searover/Swarm (Redcat Monsson to you colonials) i refurbed it myself with Hoboa Hyper ST pro Big Bore shocks (tuned properly), a 400cc tank (intended for bashing), 15mm Ofna hub extensions, made some mods to the steering knuckles to give better full lock,Savage Warlock rims with GT II tyres (once again bashing setup)...... **continued below**

I'm hung between a Pede 4x4, a Savage xs , a mini 8ight, or another 1/16 Traxxas, either the revo or summit. I have a Pede 2wd, XL1 version upgraded to race pede, VXL, soon to get a rusty chassis.

My son has the MERV and our neighbor just got his son a M-Summit, and one for himself too...

We live in the mountains now, and this spring will be making a decent track...

@johnedwardthomas Huh. I didn't realize this one was of those projects that Jang didn't go into a step by step explaination and list the parts he used. I think the information provided is enough to build your own, you'd just have to tune the suspension yourself (which is something you have to do per track conditions anyway). I wouldn't "give away the farm" if I had a truck that could win races, either! :D

@maya861615 Stampede 4x4 roller $170, MMP $130, motor $100, tires & wheels $55, body $25, wing & mount $16, servo $80, FS-GT3B $35, sway bars & misc $30, Tower discount -$50, total $600-ish as shown, or with a Sidewinder SCT or EzRun/Tacon combo and cheaper servo you could make it for under $450. Just a little cheaper than a 10TT but handles better. Someone wanting to convert an RTR they already own would spend about $125-ish retail to turn their basher into a competitive race truck.
