I personally love Amy! At first I thought she would be a carbon copy of sheldon which would be a total fail since there's only 1 sheldon. But they've made her into her own person. Instead of being just nerdy... she's kinda freaky and awkward. I'm glad they added more girls. I mean how many times can we cycle penny through all the possible storylines involving girls?

That was a very funny promo, and I haven't watched the episode yet, but I have read the comments and I really dont know how people say this trailer implies something else (Penny/Sheldon). The trailer VERY explicitly says that Sheldon was jealous for Amy, even though my dream couple is Sheldon/Penny I don't think that will be appropriate.

oh my gosh. i just watched this episode and here in this preview they TOTALLY made it sound like something it's NOT. there is one little scene between Penny and Sheldon and it's not even good. he just nonchalantly asks her if she'd like to go on a date with him and she quickly shuts him down. it's not even a big part of the episode at all....

which PISSES me off because this could have been epic with Penny and Sheldon...

Writers want they separately because they know how much they shine when they're together as L/P or S/A don't. Penny get out the "humanity" that Sheldon have, not Amy, sorry. :( They have definitely the chemistry, and they only have to give a little push to the physics. (that is right there) :)

And I found that moment cute, as friends; Sheldon care for her, yeah, like he cared before for Penny when she broke her arm for example. What I don't like is that writers have separate completely S&P; now they haven't got scenes together, so put Amy in the role of his girlfriend is more "easier". Before Amy makes "more human" Shelly, Penny was already doing it.

The writers said from ep.1 that "Leonard and Penny "belong" together" but in the show that dosen't have any sense if you see how they behave with each other; just tell me one moment when you can see their "love" and the factors alcohol/sex don't participate. I'm tired of "Sheldon and Penny have a brother-sister relationship"... ¬¬ the only Sheldon's "interests" in sex I can see in the whole series have been about Penny. "The hero always peeks?"

Actually he is NOT married to anyone! It was the tabloid magazine National Enquirer that wrote he was engaged to some guy, then they later wrote that they'd broken up. The National Enquirer hardly ever gets anything right... there were also rumors that Johnny Galecki was gay for a long time and it turned out he wasn't. Based on Jim's personality one could easily assume he is, but he has never himself come out and said that he is, so....OH and you didn't destroy anybody's hopes.. :D

Sheldon and Penny tolerate each other and at times there are glimmers of mutual respect, but more often than not Penny sees Sheldon as a freaky alien and Sheldon sees Penny as a waitress bimbo.

Besides they're a boring, awful couple; Leonard just wants Penny for sex and she wants him... no idea, because she thinks he's "a good guy", but his not at all, he's a completely jerk, and if she back together with him I'll lost all my respect on her (on the writers ¬¬). When he does something for her or she for him, they do not expect nothing but help the other. @MINNYRVP The problem is not the way people like Shenny, but how much they want of it. Did you notice that season four just had one episode of them? Did you notice the writers are making Sheldon meaner with Penny? There is this cold hostility between them and trust me, there wasn't any of that when he stayed at her place, or when he loaned her money or when he hugged her. The writers are trying to make Amy the only reason he is "human" when in fact he was willing and at his softest with Penny.

I don't see why there's so much fuzzing about a romantic chemistry between Sheldon/Penny.
