If the bobby-pins don't work, try chopsticks. Those are the only things that will hold my hair up (it's very long and slippery). I put them in, twist them twice, and they work great.  I wish the bobby-pins worked for me, like they work for you. :-(

Love this! I have straight hair that is like elbow length, and it is super shiny and soft so it never stays up. Plus its long so other messy buns always look dumb. I have exams tomorrow and I'm for sure doing this. It works best if my hair is a little bit moist though, not sure why...
