  • You. Need. A. Radio. Show. QUiCK.

  • The past is the past! The section 8 program was designed to help people for a short time; until they could survive on their own. For the record lets correct the sterotypes. Section is not the projects! Section 8 is known for destruction of property by people who do care about what they dont pay for. Sectoon 8 is a problem for property owners not the neighbors. The housing authority is the projects which is known for bringing violence an obnocious behavoir to areas.

  • section 8 only lowers the the value homes!

  • The people that I had to deal with were both white and black. So, to me, it's definitely not a race issue. I believe that poverty and a lack of education only breeds more of the same. So, these people were rude and trashy just because that's probably how their irresponsible parents were. It seems the American culture now embraces a lack of education (as apparent by TV shows, music, etc...) And, so you don't think you're alone, TMOT, I'm a liberal and agree with most things that you have to say.

  • @IKeepBadCompany A lot of it is the family. I don't blame people for acting the way they do if they are not taught differently but it has a lot to do with upbringing. A lot of the crime and moral decay can be traced back to absentee fathers. Once it was considered a shameful thing to depend on charity or the public purse and fathers that didn't support their children were considered bums. It isn't like that anymore. Everyone's entitled to everything with no shame

  • I had four Section 8 houses spring up around the house I was renting, and they drove my family crazy. Every single one of them trashed the house they were living in (bringing property values down), played loud music for over 12 hours straight a day (mostly at night), smoked pot on their front porch in view of my kids, and played basketball in front of my house with their portable goal at midnight at least three times a week.

  • Although I do not 100% agree I do see some of your points and I respect your opinion.

  • Oh you like that one...OK... Who wants to send their good kid to an all black school????? 0

A Damn Zoo...so you, like I did, sold my house so my son will go to a mixed school...thank you Oreo blacks that paved the way for us to enter into closed doors... So your good child gets to go to a good school in a expensive area of town and HERE THEY COME from the very hoods you left!! ON THE SCHOOL BUS CUSSING, FIGHTING AND BULLYING and assigned next to your child in the classroom

  • Lets keep it real people. One of the main reasons we work hard and go to school etc. is to get away from lazy people who would rather sell drugs or steal than to work. We hate the crime filed environment of the ghetto and want better for our children. Now after we reach our goals and get out of the hood, they are going to bring the hood to us and expect us to be silent?

  • The biggest lesson we ought to learn in America is aye we can't escape the poor and under class. If you really think this was made and bred by politics and powers that be but we're not smart enough to see just how it is just that.

I think we ought to just attempt to better everyone and take back our communities or communities. We can't escape the problems by hiding it wonly works for so long. Look at Michigan where I live.

  • You so funny:):):) They slapping section 8 everywhere here in kansas, where there an empty land there is section 8. and Yes even in your neighborhood. People just have turn there ADT Security Systems On.

  • It's sad that we have brothers and sisters in the community who fight to keep folks in the gutter because there so conditioned to believe that living like trash is the life for a brother and sister in this country.

  • The demographics of American cities tells this tale. As mostly whites leave the MSAs of the East, Midwest and S. Calif, we will have the urban paradise that is Detroit, all over again, in dozens of places. To be honest, I know I wouldn't subject my family to Section 8 behavior and that means self-segregation. Like it or not, my own comes first before any social programs or political correctness. Do I still teach my children to respect all people and to help the needy, yes. We're not neighbors.

  • The welfare state aka LBJ's "Great Society" has done more to destroy the nuclear black family than anything the Klan could've imagined. Knowing this, why do Black folks still vote overwhelmingly for Democrats??? It boggles the mind.

  • @tripleheshy

By all best accounting, 17 trillion dollars. And what do we have to show for it? The decay and destruction of our culture and cities. This is irreversible and is leading to the displacement of America among the top tier of developed countries. Only fools and those who have fiendishly devised this will disagree.

  • @joesphx19 USa is going down.

  • @mrblackalchemist

Yes, and the no one will escape it, except for the liberal rich who all have ranches ready to go in South America and other places. Some of the biggest land owners in SA are the Hollywood and political elite that have been harboring their money for years. Names like the Kennedys and Turners could really care less what will happen to you or I, black or white, poor or middle class when the economy implodes. Hell, most of us can't even afford to buy passports for our family.

  • @joesphx19 I strongly agree. I wish we would all could go back to calling a spade a spade and cut this political correctness out. There are different classes of people with different values it will always be that way!

  • @joesphx19 I couldn't agree with you any more.

  • TMOT, you make a great redneck voice...lol. I agree with you btw...steven

  • but like someone mentioned earlier, people shouldnt turn their noses up because u never know the hows or whys 0R where one USED to be in life...

  • so my point is , that people make the sterotype true and its embarrassing because in some cases one has to go out of their way to prove they are the exception..

  • however, i applied about 10 yrs ago and it finally came through when i needed it and because the manager already was familiar with me decided to allow me to continue to stay and allow me to use my certificate at the apt otherwise i couldnt afford to stay.. had he not already knew me, i know there was NO way he would rent to a sec 8 tenant.

  • ok i do understand your point... its so sad but true. now, not everyone that recieves sec 8 is a problem BUT from my experience the majority have caused that "stigma".. i live in an area/building that does not accept it period.

  • Wow, you really need to be educated, on the ways of the world my friend.

  • Oh and didn't just get out of prison a few years ago? I guess everyone in your neighborhood should unamously vote you are making it unsafe for them live. Maybe they should continue to hold your crimes against you and no one should hire you because you are a potential threat to society. How does it feel when the shoe is on the other foot?

  • In todays society low income people are not only lazy bastards who dont want anything better for themselves. They are now blue collar pepple who were laid off due theit companies down sizeing. If you actually take the time to do your research, you would be supprised how many people who once made more money in a week than you will ever see in a month are temporaily surving on section 8

  • Are you suggesting that if "god forbid" that if you were to end up in a unfortunate situation where you couldnt efford provide shelter for yourself that people should be characterized as someone who has the potential to become a criminal?

  • So where exactly do you suggest the people who you look your nose down upon to live?

  • Happened in Baltimore MD too......run folks out of the city into certain surburban areas/counties......it has changed the culture in our county.......

  • Forced Equality, is not equality at all. Forced multiculturalism, is unnatural and unhealthy. I love people. (Emphasis on period) We can do this without Uncle Scams intervention. And, by the way, we are all slaves.

Why not make a promise, that everyone has a sustainable home, that DOES NOT require being chained to a monthly payment, that can be passed down from generation to generation of families, not bankers.

Let's redefine and revive the American Dream.

  • My husband and I lived in an apartment that had Section 8 and we moved as soon as we could. I called the police more times than I care to remember, picked up my fair share of trash, had to ask people to be quiet (on weekdays) and saw my share of domestic disputes. The final straw was when I started seeing so many of my clients popping up out there in the burbs. (I'm a Probation Officer).

  • A friend of mine lived in nice apartment he paid 1200 a month for rent he was happy then economy went down hill and apartment started taking sec 8 they were paying 250 a month it brought crime he said why am I paying 1200 a month to live in projects he moved out fast they were loud didnt work and party all night you can take them out of the projects but cant take projects out of them

  • (cont) ...like a dear friend of mine said, we are all not the same and i wish people would stop saying that... although this is true, there is wisdom and fault in all, we can learn and have a better understanding of one another, as individuals, to become a better whole... I enjoy the light of your videos, your openess and honesty is needed.

  • (cont) ...the question is will the head of those households be willing to adapt, make that change. It only takes one generation to change this... time to wake up (those who are in a deep slumber). The ones responsible knows exactly what they're doing, the question is how are we going to react...

  • forgotten mention: corruption of home training, burgularizing (corruption of) your children's mind. With the already media brain washing, now they want to add influence... fuel to the already burning fire, destruction to the community. In reality, it doesn't matter where you're from, it's where you're at. With conscious aware minds, like yours, there can be change. Without casting judgement, those who are aware can be that influence. #positiverolemodel

  • I had to eject...err evict numerous Section 8 people over the years for my father when his health started failing. They couldn't pay $100 a month when the government kicked in $900 to $1,000 a month. Most of them had new Air Jordans, nicer cars than I had, nice TVs but couldn't pay their $100.

  • Just last night I spoke with a neighbor who lived in my neighborhood for a long time before I moved in. He told me of how he and my other neighbors fought to stop 32 Habitat for Humanity houses from being built behind our street. To make a long story short, they were successful and now there are about 24 houses that are worth more than our houses and there are ZERO problems.

  • While I agree with you TMOT (had some living next door to me who weren't as criminal as they were ignorant, loud, acting foolish at all hrs of the night etc) let's not forget how sec 8 benefits our Seniors. My Mother and my Grandmother are both in senior housing and Praise God for that. They were able to still live independently in an appt that suits their needs, get services and live in safer area.

  • Man your probably the only preacher who even talks about the things you do! the last man that did that black folk help kill ! ( mlk) since then i anit seen no real leaders in the so called church! last i checked people who told the truth in the bible ended in so type of trouble with the powers that be ! Keep telling the truth! the truth must be told! section is just a way to help destroy the little good we have left in the hoods, it anit helping, because we would have seen help by now

  • Love the video as always

  • Its sad that those few bad apples that make good people on section 8 like myself look like hoodlums. I am clean, quiet, respectful and get along with my suburb neighbors. Smh

  • Yep, I hear you TMOT. You are telling it like it is. The "dispersing" is crazy. I have some friends who have already had bad run-ins from the Section 8 neighbors. I personally have had enough. I'm finishing up my education and getting the hell out of here. I'm tired of it

  • Yea yeah TMOT, ur right! But it's only a few section8 butt holes ruinin it for the others on the program!!!!

  • They put an age limit on all the County owned PJ's in my city. You have to be 55 to even be considered. Unfortunately the bad ones are privately owned so the crime rate pretty much stayed the same.

  • Buddy you are tired, I can tell. Get some good rest this weekend.

  • here in detroit too

  • I hate liberals politicians they put the hard working people and lazy people right next to each other !!!!!! what the hell

  • Yup thats what happened out where I live in the bay area, Ca

  • Wow, TMOT. You must rep Bankhead, ATL. You a real OG

  • We have projects and Section 8 here in Valdosta. My apt. complex started out sec8 free, over the last 3 years they have allowed more in, the crime rate went up, the laundromat was robbed(they closed it), littering/trash everywhere, and a child drowned in the pool because the parents let the kids swim unsupervised (now you can only swim during office hours/closed on weekends), management is slowly getting out of the Section 8 program finally!!!

  • @maxjosephwheeler how the hell u rob a laundromat ?

  • @MsBXprincessISBACK They tore open the change boxes on the dryers, washers and detergent dispensers to get all the quarters out.

  • @maxjosephwheeler wow that's low down.

  • Comment removed

  • I don't get any subsidies, and I never have. I just think that if they live in certain neighborhoods it should be rules applied. I look at so many great people including our first lady that came out of a poor neighborhoods. If you are determined to make it you will. I am just tired of people being narrow minded and self righteous. I think everyone deserves a chance.

  • They walk by your house DROPPING TRASH, potato chip bags, candy wrappers and they want to play in front of neighbor's houses instead of their own.....Moms walking by your house dropping beer cans and butts with her new boyfriend(s) pregnant again just to walk into her house and start blasting that damn music as high as it will go. At night they come out at 10pm - 2am with walking tracking back and forth in front of your house taking loud..and laughing loud too.....Next door at my house!!!

  • @EHYEHasherEHYEH1 you couldn't be more spot on with that accurate description. It is truly a shame and I live in Illinois.

  • @sulebruty Oh you like that one...OK...

ON THE SCHOOL BUS CUSSING, FIGHTING AND BULLYING and assigned next to your child in the classroom DAMN!!!

  • @sulebruty I really believe some of us are FUSED with animals..... At a point, we have to stop blaming the white man even though it is his fault....but damn, can't people that can read and write and do work and have to follow rules to get their slavecheck, can't they begin to think for themselves? Does the white man have to think for them all through life? So if we are the Hebrew Israelites and pyramid builders can't we think for ourselves instead of being THUGS & HOES

  • @EHYEHasherEHYEH1 QUESTION GOD WILL WANT TO KNOW FROM YOU....WHAT CONTRIBUTION DID YOU MAKE TO EDEN? DID YOU CONTRIBUTE HELLIONS TO TURN EDEN INTO A HELL OR DID YOU CONTRIBUTE HOLY MEN AND WOMAN FROM YOUR FRUIT? FUNNY HOW BAD KIDS HAVE TO HAVE SECURITY (BABYSITTER - 1 ON 1) TO SIT WITH THEM TO MAKE SURE THEY DON'T DISRUPT THE CLASS THEY ATTEND DAILY.... MAKING BAD CHOICES IS SUGAR COATING HELLIONS THAT ARE ABNORMAL IN OUR MIDST.

  • All of those women having a thousand kids a piece walking by your house from school where they are on Special Ed and Fighting and refuse to sit in class without a baby sitter one on one (Security Please!!!) to make them keep their hands to themselves, while they are looking around in the class room calling students that are learning MF and other Ebonic names they learn from their mommas and sorry daddies that keeping dropping babies for Uncle Sam to raise...ha ha

  • Not everyone in the ghetto is ghetto though.

-You have people with an actual plan to get out the ghetto

    OR

-You have people who are just lazy.

  • Section 8 has destroyed many neighborhoods.

  • Uncle Ruckus...:)

  • Not everyone on section 8 acts in such ways. 90% of the black folks. But the other 10 % is trying to better themselves. The plan is to get on your feet. Not stay on your knees.

  • @TheMasterheadhunter Agreed, but a) Conservatives will not see this at all, and b) arguably, who could blame them when you look at the majority. It is rules that we live by, not exceptions, although the exceptions make heart-warming TV movies. Acting as if exceptions were rules is dangerous to all aspects of society.

  • @TheMasterheadhunter ...change the 10% to 1% and I'll buy it.

  • @TheMasterheadhunter That is a lovely song your are singing..."not all".

I love it when you "not all" people run up and defend BS. But real talk, the numbers you posted are actually flipped. Only 10% of those people are trying to better themselves with the other 90% just happy and content living on the gov't teet.

  • @TheMasterheadhunter AMEN, my sister!!! I had these friends for 10 years that still lives in income housing. Keyword: "had". I cut them heffas loose, b/c that's just low level thinking. Those programs are to help not a handout.

  • well said brother tmot you are 100% correct.
