I think あかり would be this kanji: 明り?

But 灯 is read あかし. But it could be an exception, I don't know :>.

But both 雪灯　and　雪明り mean the same thing, I suppose.

I think you can read it both as あかし and あかり, since 灯 does appear in the word list when you type in akashi and akari in Hiragana input. I think MintJam intended it to be pronounced yukiakari though, because that's what they give it on their official website. And yeah, 灯 and 明り both mean the same thing, light.

Heh, I thought it was read as ゆきとう too. But it looks like it's one of those random special readings. I'm not completely sure though, since I'm still learning Japanese. :P
