  • I'm not saying its bullshit, but its bullshit.

  • @Volkblin It sounds like it.

  • Time travel is possible.I just saw time travel away, wasted, typing this!

  • This is all true and how it happened. Right now actually we have found out that there is 11 different types of aliens. Everything has been hush hush and the reason why some people know about even this is because of a courageous man who was murdered by the government for letting out their secrets his name was Phil Schneider.

  • I researched the vedas, most of the veda stories of ancient flying machines were dictated by a man in the 18 century and were added to the compendium of the ancient books. Cosmic eggs described in various storys all over the world? First I've heard of it I have been looking at ancient myths and storys for a long time. There are mysterious stories granted, but these 2 carry little weight.

  • I think that the ancient people were trying to describe may have been us at one time now, or later on, time traveling back to those days to help along things and change them as well, why else would there be drawings of astronauts all over with round glass helmets? just a thought

  • @tignob given the vastness of the universe i think it's much more likely that they were aliens.

  • @tignob given the vastness of the universe i think it's much more likely that they were aliens.

  • @tignob sorry dont mean to be a downer but time travel is impossible and is a paradox

  • @cityboy50000 quantum theory and classical physics contradict and are paradoxes but they are true.

  • when the day comes. everyone will bow down. to the man they KNOW is God. you will know. it will be too late if you believe then.

  • @HeroOfXanadus The whole join now before it's too late thing was used by people nowadays as well. They're called con artists.

  • @HeroOfXanadus "gods" don't exist. Our ancestors had no idea what an extra terrestrial was, or a space ship, so they described what they saw as gods. they described flying machines as fiery chariots, which are mentioned numerous times in the bible and countless other religious, and historiical documents.

  • @hndqvi yes they are describing aliens..duh!

  • I hate commercials.

  • @Paradoxicon999 Put an ad blocker onto your browser so that commercials don't show up on YouTube videos.

  • Where can I find the full episode of this? It seems damn interesting.

  • Did National Geographic really do a series on this?

  • WINGOFREDEMPTION ANYONE?

  • @DukeNukem2112 HELLL YEA :)

  • This is the corporate disinfo channel about ancient astronaut theory. Ancient means old. Astronaut means navigates space. There's nothing in the phrase even that purports the beings be from another planet or a distant solar system, the closest of which is 95756007276539 miles away, or about 16 light years, meaning the distance light travels in a year at 186,000 miles per second. Connecting ET's to Ancient Astronaut theory is disinfo.

  • y is this not taking seriously this cud be really gd or bad lets say we r visited what would happen is it possible aliens will return in 2012? ill let u decide

  • Man, wat's up with Giorgio Tsoukalos and his endless supply of BROWN SUITS. Seen him in various different shows with his trademark BROWN SUIT. Reminds me of the "Seinfeld" episode were Jerry is going out with a girl but she always wears the same dress. He also remind me of my 8th grade science teacher Mr. Geller who always wore brown suits.

  • this is entirely possible. earth compared to the universe, is SOO TINY! how would any alien race find earth. but if you ask me, i believe they did visit us in the past

  • @ragereleaser1 likewise :)

  • @ragereleaser1 not particularly, but if I hear an interesting or credible theory, I like to listen to it. You know, just to hear all viewpoints. I enjoy being open-minded, that's all

  • true its interesting but in hitlers son fuk jews we will kill all those fukers one day and no will survie ggo alaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa oh my name is daniel torres my phone number is 2394040414 call me :)

  • @ITreehugger you're a fucking faggot dude....not because of what you said, but because you thought it would be so offensive that people would need your name and number to bitch you out....thats it...you dont have to reply.

  • all imagination for now...

  • there are 100 billion galaxies that we are able to perceive with Hubble. The Milky Way is considered a small galaxy. To think there is no other life is almost harder to do than to believe there is...

  • I ment there were I put their my fault but comment me if u think that ?

  • You guys wanna know the truth.. the TRUTH IS even if we were seeded "from another being " or w/e.. ok yeah if that were to be true WHO created them? god or another being ?? the truth is .. their are bigger fish in the sea then us.. and if thats the case there has to be a fisherman ? theirs a god.. and theirs a devil hell theirs probably another 6 parties besides those.. I just trust myself in god n there is something better then this.. if I'm wrong tell me on the crossroad at the end. SEE YA !

  • Sure, its a far-out theory. But how can people say its out of the question? If you can open your fucking minds and consider that intelligent, interstellar life could exist, then maybe this theory isn't so crazy after all. Pull your heads out of your asses, old school science books, and religious texts. Just because it says something in the Bible doesn't mean its true. So the Christians shouldn't get so defensive about the possibility of alien life. I AM a believer in God, but I'm open-minded....

  • The Ancient Astronaut theory is real, hasn't anyone seen Prometheus & Bob? I think they gave up and left Earth after they realized we were a lost cause. We were the galaxy's special ed program.

  • whoa...aliens came to earth and didn't share their intelligence and left our ancestors to use rocks to build crap out of...whoa...

  • @blitznstitch either they were conquers and took all the tech and left earth, or maybe it didnt happen. they probably came to earth and presented themselves as gods, thats why we have all these ideas about gods, spirits, etc.

  • This is the truth!!!

Dont believe the evolution lie and creationism lie they try to jam down our throats!!! The government lies and hides the real truth (like this ^^^) from us!!!

  • @buffboynick thank you some one uses the cells in there brain wow watch the ancient aliens aliens and gods or aliens and angels and it makes a great deal of scense

  • @buffboynick if the government was trying to hide this from us it wouldn't be shown on tv dipshit.

  • @buffboynick Which is why it passes the FCC?

  • @buffboynick Actually Evolution is true too, just aliens helped humans evolution by mixing their DNA with ours.

  • @buffboynick the ancient astronaut theory doesnt necessarily conflict with evolution theory.

  • @buffboynick Agree with you all the way..this is the truth and the government wants us to believe this fake shit so we don't know whats actually going on with our planet!

  • Aliens are among us my friends!!!

  • The Gods are with us! Every religion a person or being comes down from the skies, the bible, any religion.

  • maybe the E.T.s took the mayans, aztecs, egyptians, sumerians, ancient people from stonehenge, and easter island, and even the Atlantians with them and we are just leftovers that they forgot.

  • @AmericanDesiDude HALLELUJAH!

You don't make sense. Maybe if you were clearer I wouldn't have to ask so many questions... for instance you said that greenhouse gases will not get trapped in it's(Mars) thin atmosphere... 95+% of Mars' atmosphere is greenhouse gases.

Nothing you say makes any sense.

  • @AmericanDesiDude

We're not talking about global warming??? What is this discussion about the warming of planets about than? LOL

How can the CO2 be trapped if the atmosphere is too thin? According to you "Mars' atmosphere is too thin to trap greenhouse gases to create a warming effect."

I'm stuck at increased amounts of CO2 causing warming on Mars due to the inability of the atmosphere of Mars to trap CO2.

  • @AmericanDesiDude

How is it possible for Mars to warm at the same rate as Earth if we are at the same time warming at an rate that's not the same as Mars? Data says it's about the same but you say it's not. Who am I to trust? Data or you?

  • @AmericanDesiDude

So Mar's warming is due to the sun... Earth is completely different?

  • @AmericanDesiDude

    Which one is heating Mars?

  • the cosmic eggs being the sayian ships

  • @AmericanDesiDude

I will ask the question again. How can a planet ***WARM*** if it's not because of gases?

  • @AmericanDesiDude

The existence of a God is fact... because science cannot disprove that. Interesting

Global warming hasn't been proven real. There's nothing conclusive linking the rise in average temperature to increased green house gases. That's just the consensus. Original question, "What happens when it turns to not questioning consensus...?"

You cannot relate Earth to Venus and than omit Mars. Mar's warming is not due to gases. How can a planet warm if it's not because of gases?

  • It's open for speculation, however there is a lot of corruption with the people behind this theory.. personally I think it is understandable and plausible, I just don't trust the scholars here.

  • Flabbergasting...

  • The "Ancient Astronaut Theory" is hardly a theory, scientifically speaking. There is no empirical evidence for this idea. This subject is interesting and has a lot of unanswered questions, but to posit alien intervention is not science, just science fiction.

  • Stonehinge is an amplifier for speaking events ,primitive concerts and partys

  • @AmericanDesiDude

I was thinking about Global Warming in regards to your statement that science is a study in which you question everything and try to disprove it.

  • @LooseLatitude that's why global warming is a myth !

  • why block youtube videos on certain countries when we can still find a way to view them?

  • Y is it so hard for people to believe in alien.

  • @AmericanDesiDude

What happens when it turns to not questioning consensus and vilifying those who try to disprove it?

Have we not seen science turn to that recently?

  • fucking miracles

  • and here we are, doing more harm to the earth than good

  • Why did the ancients observe the skies when they didn't have to? Well, why do we? I don't think we give enough credit to ancient cultures.

  • they teached us why to kill niggers

  • I love how this video talks about "observatories" while showing pictures of things like the pyramids that were clearly NOT pyramids.

Why is NG even talking about this horseshit?

  • Humans suck

  • @Supernova310 yeah fuck em all

  • there asking why did these ancient people build these buildings...in 1000 years people will be saying the same thing about the empire state bulding and the eiffel tower

  • Mork calling orson.....Shalsbot I think theyve found me.

  • What did they teach us?

  • As used in science, a theory is an explanation or model based on observation, experimentation, and reasoning, especially one that has been tested and confirmed as a general principle helping to explain and predict natural phenomena.

Any scientific theory must be based on a careful and rational examination of the facts. A clear distinction needs to be made between facts (things which can be observed and/or measured) and theories (explanations which correlate and interpret the facts.

  • @TheKturner05

But the english language has many defintions of theory one being:

    1. Set of assumptions, propositions, or accepted facts that attempts to provide a plausible or rational explanation of cause-and-effect (causal) relationships among a group of observed phenomenon. The word's origin (from the Greek 'thorós,' a spectator), stresses the fact that all theories are mental models of the perceived reality.

    Also can find looser defintions.

In my opinion both sides are right.

  • @TheKturner05 Really a silly argument to have, but thats my input hope it helps.

  • @TheKturner05 you love to hear you're self talk. don't you?

  • We are not alone!!

  • Would have never thought this possible until I read "The Earth Chronicles" by Sitchen. The Sumerians tell a pretty good story about our creation. Loyd Pye does too. Seems to make sense to me.

  • @ArtGardenfunckle Unfortunately, Sitchen is full of it. No actual expert on the Sumerians thinks he makes any sense. He *doesn't* make sense, given the facts in their proper contexts.

  • To end all this hypothesis vs theory vs law definition debate - Scientifically, a THEORY is a consensus/agreement to a hypothesis which has been tested and retested and then tested again with all outcomes supporting that hypothesis (though it may not be true, all indications point in the direction that it is). Hypothesis is an educated GUESS based on observations. LAW generalizes a body of observation; it can explain something but not describe it (i.e. law of gravity).

  • why show stone henge? it's a piece of shit compared to the other great ancient monuments and structures.

  • @flarbton hahahaha lol

  • hmm this makes me wonder

  • very interesting!

  • This is not even a theory, this is purely superstitious pseudo-scientific fictional mythological speculation.

  • Isn't there a new series out called ancient aliens? anyone know when it airs this month?

  • I find it embarrassing Nat Geo would post this nonsense.

  • @AmericanDesiDude i was simplying writing a statement of my thoughts on this vid i never said it like how you said it but there are many ways of defining things either it be religion or science we must not let one saying or one way define a whole belief now then i won't be replying anymore i don't see it a point but but good day :)

  • @AmericanDesiDude

    well said

  • If something like this is true, there would be plenty of evidence to prove it.

..unless of course, if these 'intelligent beings' told them not to keep record of it.

  • believe it, ive seen the hieroglyphs in egypt that depict space ships, dont believe me look it up! its amazing!

  • Dear, NGeo.

Please stop perpetuating superstitious, pseudoscientific woo-woo. Thanks.

  • Think about it...If they DID land on our planet when we were that primitive they would have taken over. You know WE would if we landed on an inferior planet.

  • religion is false, if not god strike me down before I finish this, hmmmm

  • @Pheelingood Right?

  • watch?v=yNfmtf9TFdE&playnext_from=TL&videos=9kSdWPHN9cc

  • I want to believe it because it sounds cool, but I don't :/

It would be neat if it were true, but until then, meh.

  • After watching this, I have officially lost my faith in National Geographic. Let's hope the History Channel isn't so unbelievable...oops, I spoke too late (Monster Quest, Axe Men, and all the other shows that have nothing to do with history).

  • Any kid with a LEGO set will inevitably create a pyramid, even never having seen one. It's simple math and logic.

  • time for my facepalm

  • whos in the mood for quiche?

  • Maybe it was the Goa'uld?

Seriously though, people built pyramids because if you want to build large buildings without concrete, steel, or flying buttresses you'll need a large foundation.

  • I LOVE that tie!!!

  • @stefaniew777 That is sweet!!

  • he says whi they were built... whi? whi??

  • this is a stupid video apperantly since they were for them dumb indians how could they ever build pyramids and temples. only because they didnt have technology doesnt mean they werent capable of building and creating great things

  • @JulieRebu07

Very good point. Just because people lived without television and running water doesn't mean they were stupid.

  • @TheSanityInspector yeah exactly those ppl where smarter than us at other things. yeah we have technology now but before they would predict the weather by just looking at the sky and would create great remedies using plants. we would die if we were ever stranded in a forest

  • I think that the term "theory" is used too loosely. I think this is a hypothesis at best.

  • this video is nither hypothesis or theory... its pure drama mixed with a nuratic audio soundtrack which is designed to trigger the 'hysteria' gland in people primal mind.

in otherwords its total entertainment... cheaply made for a cheap reaction in order to fill in the time gaps of a televised programming schedule

  • @nfusionlabs agree 100%. there is also a huge load of crap they put on the history channel to get more viewers. I can't find any honest scientific programs on TV...just a couple on the Science channel.

  • @gargamel6699 A theory is an idea or concept, not a law. So, theory works.

  • @rlizak

Not in science. Simply put, in science a THEORY is a model based on a series of facts.

Let's say gravity. The LAW of gravity says mass attracts mass. The THEORY of gravity is a fucked up mess that we really don't understand too well. It tries to explain WHY mass attracts mass.

    Get it?

  • @gargamel6699

I think you right there proved your comment wrong.

Theory is not a law. The astronaut theory isn't a law. It's an idea. A concept. The String theory for example is an idea, a concept. NOT a law.

Theories are used to address phenomenons and try to explain. They are plausible ideas but not facts.

  • @rlizak

Once again, theories are BASED on facts. I'm not going to repeat myself. Now I suggest you please educate yourself a bit more on the subject.

  • @gargamel6699 and the facts are that almost every ancient civilization has similar stories about beings coming to earth from space. just sayin bro

  • @pookaz1

There you go. You said "space" while every ancient civilization says "heavens". It is an observation subject to interpretation. I'm not saying it's not plausible, but that doesn't make it a "fact". A fact would be that they made pyramid-like structures.

It may well become an approve peer-reviewed theory some day. But it's just not quite there yet.

  • @gargamel6699 ahh you are funny. They are basing the theories on a set of what they consider to be facts. So maybe, just maybe you're the silly one who needs to be educated.

  • @rlizak

Ok, I think you're just arguing for the sake of it like a 13yr old girl. This will prolly b my last post to you. Facts are not to be "considered". If you jump off a building I don't think you'll "consider" falling. Pleeeeaase, think before you post, you're just looking silly, I'm trying to be nice.

  • @gargamel6699 I wouldn't even call it a hypothesis. A hypothesis is a "testable, scientific prediction." You can't even design an experiment to test such a hypothesis let alone prove it.

  • @Forlo12345

Sure you can test this! All you need is to, um... use previous data where aliens landed, or have been seen, er... and, um... maybe look at other vague descriptions of gods that we can pin aliens on... er job creation, it's got to be about job creation too, charlie.

  • @gargamel6699 the hypothesis of some loonies, yea

  • @gargamel6699 I get the point you're trying to make, but in the context used here, hypothesis is a synonym for theory.

  • I honestly believe aliens are living among us right now, we are just to blind to see it

  • wait a minute... hundred dollar bill.... Independence hall....aliens....O.O

  • I thiknk for a fact there is other life. however I want to know if some of those are itelligent. who says they are ahead of us in tech?

  • You people are all too skeptical! It's sickening!

  • I don't buy any of it. There are far too many other, more plausible explanations. Furthermore, if the aliens came here to teach us they certainly did a shit job of it.

This is almost enough for me to want to cancel my subscription to National Geographic.

  • I WANNA KNOW WHAT THEY ARE ON

  • what if humans a long time ago didnt look like us... and the aliens had smex with the people and maybe thats how we survived through the world and what if we are aliens??? haha nvm a crazy opinion

  • i dont actually think this stuff is weird at all. to assume we are the only living intelligent beings in a universe too large for us to understand or measure...thats weird.its the laws of probability.but what says these beings came from somewhere else.maybe mars when it was younger.maybe even here, who knows dinosaurs may have not been the first cycle.

  • lol nat geo says religion is for fools yet believes in stuff like this how much more crazier can you get lol

  • @RealEros1 the insane people are the religious nuts who seem to be born without the gene for logic, which forces them to base their beliefs on religious dogma instead of scientific evidence and their own innate logic.

logic would dictate that if life can originate on this planet then it can originate on many of the billions of planets in the universe as well.

  • @signboyy am simply saying if we keep the alien idea in our head we should also keep the idea of a God in our head too. To Shut off an idea or belief of some sort won't do any good or bad so keep a open mind :) cause who knows the most foolish idea to us today may seem like common sense tomarrow.

  • @RealEros1

existence of ufo's are supported by logic

existence of a god contradicts logic

  • @RealEros1 logic also dictates that if we can go from donkey and wagon to spacecraft in only 100 years and achieve space travel, then beings on other planets can as well.

i think people like you are simply remnants of cro-magnons who simply havent evolved the logic gene yet which makes you bad at mathematics as well suseptable to religious delusion.

  • @signboyy Comparing people that are bad with math (with or without learning disabilities) to religious fanatics is fucking stupid, bigoted, and illogical. Being bad at math has nothing to do with religion, Idiot. As a wise man once said:"Fuck you".

  • @jotunobsidianeyes

spoken like a true someone thats bad at math and possible learning disabled.

  • @RealEros1 Where does nat geo say religion is for fools?

  • @RealEros1 While it is contradicting to say that religions are false and still think theories like this are possible, the idea still remains.

  • @RealEros1 Uhm, when did they say that religion was for fools?

  • @RealEros1 Yeah invisible beings that you hear inside your head, talking snakes, Messiahs walking on water... yeah thats all very believable. But Aliens?! Come on, no way..... -_-

  • @RealEros1 how is this crazy?

  • this is awesome! :D i want to learn more

  • Why not is the question....

  • @jccaw Well, I'm confident in saying that space is infinate so it's more likely that they could be in diffrent Galaxys.

  • @RiouInsuiko THERE ARE BILLIONS OF SOLAR SYSTEM JUST IN THIS GALAXY lol

  • @hello43231 As far as you know, the broadest measurement of distance in existance is likely to excede a single galaxy.

  • Awesimo!

  • Nothing is impossible... but this is damn near as close you can get to it.

  • there were probably european tales of astronaughts but the books were probably burned by the church for being satanic or as witchcraft.

  • @signboyy so true FUCK RELIGION

  • i hope i'm wrong and aliens aren't real and they've not been visiting our planet since prehistory.

  • Or its cause people are curious? Why do you guys care about these guys caring about space? Cause your curious :P. Seriously. As for the part of the drawings, there where storytellers back then. Isn't it possible that the story was just told and/or passed down threw generations and lands? Seriously, why do I always hear about scientist caring about the harder to prove theories? Why can't it just be simple?

  • epicness.

  • @jccaw bwahhahahah! I see some of these same (Not Professors) guys on other channels talking about the same thing. I like Aliens too but I'm not an idiot

  • Hmmm the notion that ancients had no need for astronomy is simply incorrect. If you couldn't predict the seasons and solstice, you didn't grow as much food. I learned that in basic 101 college classes

  • I was violated by an ancient astronaut. It was so primitive, his probe was actually a large veiny penis. After the probing, he stole my T.V. and drove off in a 1987 Buick Century.

  • i think the stories are more likely to be art than aliens.

the egg being a symbol of birth

    like birth of knowledge

    etc

  • judging by this guys voice, the people he's talking about aren't his ancestors. back then, we were less than nomads (white people).

  • OMG.... this is so badass!!!!!

  • recycled myths is all. i don't buy it, but should be an interesting watch!

  • They grays came to Earth before Roswell

  • If they did visit, why would they have stopped visiting? Duh?

  • We didn't actually start taking record of history that long ago, I wouldn't be surprised if this were true at all. For more beyond ancient physical evidence that could prove this stuff, look up: transvaal spheres, klerksdorp spheres, dropa stones. It's a shame that some of the things of the past we can't explain we just brush to the side.

  • Theres no reason at all for there not to be aliens and no I don't mean the little gray ones they probably won't even be humanoid really.. Or maybe they are? I don't know but I believe there IS other life out there.

  • MAN WILL DESTROY EARTH!!!!!!!!!!!

  • It's interesting that they could only find a book publisher to be a talking head for this.
