I found this clip whilst my thoughts were with the families in Canterbury (Christchurch) in New Zealand. It should be an anthem. This wonderful city has been hit twice in six months, now with hundreds dead. It really makes you think about how lucky we all are. Nothing is impossible and we can rebuild buildings, cities, infrastructure. Unfortunately we cannot bring back our lost souls. RIP....

I am in Christchurch now and been here since the 7.1 and the devastating 6.3 that has so far taken 145 lives and more expected. The power of the big quakes are unbelievible! My city is indeed in ruins, the aftershocks keep going and there seems no hope here at times. : ( I can relate to this song :(

Agreed...however this song was written about Asbury Park NJ. The fact that the lyrics fit so perfectly to the tragedies of September 11 and Hurricane Katrina is strictly coincidental. Bruce said himself that his songs can take on whatever meaning that people can take from them. He has a meaning of his songs that is close to his heart, and whatever anyone else wants to believe is up to them. So most of the country took the meaning of this representing New York after 9/11.
