STALKER was the best one player, FPS game I'd played since Half Life, but for very different reasons. The atmosphere and environments were simply incredible. The only thing I could say against it is that the engine is very well optimised and that there are a few glitches, but nothing that could come close to ruining the awesomeness of it.

I steered away from Clear Sky because I had such great memories of the original and heard it didn't stand up to the original... anyone played both??

@dariunas yeah i got all three. clear sky is a good game, in fact much better than other games. but it didnt live up to shadow of chernobyl. it had great new features but it sought of lost its atmosphere, they brought that back in call of pripyat. the factions war system was also a bit jagged and their were too many ai's and almost no mutants. although the same size it just was overpopulated and didn't feel desolate or like you were alone, ll things they brought back in call of pripyat

I haven't played SOC but i got clear sky and that was very cool now i prypiat is better and LONGER! amn clear sky was too short...

SOC was better and longer than clear sky as well. I suggest picking it up and giving it a go if you liked clear sky.

Man. You HAVE to get SoC!  It's much better than Clear Sky.

After you get SoC, go on and play through it. At some point, you'll definitely want to check out the Oblivion Lost mod. Its free and can be found in numerous places online.

But DEFINITELY get SoC
