  • Brilliant work on this and great articles over on your website too, I have worked on a planet renderer myself and fully appreciate the page 'the devil is in the detail' :) seams still give me nightmares.

  • i still stubbornly and scientifically maintain that this is more like a moon or an asteroid rather than a full planet... but never mind that, it looks great and i look forward to more videos on this thing's progress!

  • The current surface is very bumpy and the result of extremely random applications of a fractal bumpy crater brush. I actually haven't spent *any* time trying to get it to do anything else. Once I focus more on the terrain variety and add color and atmosphere, it'll look like a planet, trust me ;).

    But it takes a lot of work to get even this far.
