Yes and no, its a tricky subject because of the license the BGE is under, but there are ways around it. No one has actually sold a commercial game using blender yet however, but it will happen oneday!

how do you make a stargate i cant figure it out

Use lots of reference pictures, they help a lot. just get the general shape made and then add heaps of detail. Its a pretty basic shape when you think about it.
