Thanks everyone for mostly nice comments. I can't believe how weird my voice was back 2 years ago, and yes, there are perhaps newer techniques, but I am glad this is being useful to a lot of you! And of course, watch my latest tuts with a more "up-to-date" voice lol.
@Rafidaq2 This is an old video correct? I was thinking more along the lines of you makeing everything fit correctly and then rotating around it more. Something more of a finished piece in the end!
@biobldrj If the person is moving or if it is a video, then it is required another technique called Matchmoving and unfortunately it can only be done in programs like Boujou or Matchmover (with the assistance of C4D), so yes, this wouldn't apply to people :(
@Rafidaq2 I was looking something like it! For example, I want to do a matte paint and then do the camera mapping but with a person (chroma keyed) in teh video. What I'm wondering is if the camera moves around the person this would look plane right? Cause isn't 3D, so, how can it be done? I saw a video breakdown where a company placed the keyed people into 3D cubes or something. Could you help!? Thank you so much!
the answer is in the question...its no effect, but the room I record the tuts is pretty big and empty so the sound echoes a bit...but I don´t think that its too bad.
Great tutorial, Rafidaq2! Just remember that the options in the camera is really important. If you know the camera`s sensor size (in google it can be easily found by the model of the camera) and the Focal Lenght, you can put in your 3d camera, so you grid will be easy to mach the perspective. In that way, is much easier to draw and positioning the object. At least I do that way in XSI.
You´re absolutely right. I just didn´t focus to much on the camera options but rather in this concept of camera mapping. Thanks for that input though.
great stuff, very useful too for makin backgrounds and such. if you get lots of pictures, how can you stick them together to make a panoramic picture to use?
Very nice! Also check out my Camera Mapping Test! /watch?v=TypzeLo9PM4
