  • "Order A.P. Hill to prepare for action! Pass the infantry to the front rapidly! Tell Major Hawks"—then stopped, leaving the sentence unfinished. Presently a smile of ineffable sweetness spread itself over his pale face, and he said quietly, and with an expression, as if of relief, "Let us cross over the river, and rest under the shade of the trees."

  • Is the death of stonewall jackson song? A bit of info. Thomas Jonathan "Stonewall" Jackson died of pneumonia, caused by friendly fire on May 10, 1863. This incident happend at the battle of Chancellorsville. Stonewall is burried at Lexington, VA. His last words were as follows...

  • @rebelwolfman he developed pneumonia but no one knows how. I doubt that it had alot to do about friendly fire

  • @brendo150 His arm was amputated (The bullet was friendly) and he because he was very weak, he died of Pneumonia(Which wasn't very deadly, even then)

  • @ViccardXViccc Well no matter how he died, pneumonia is very deadly and if not caught and treated quickly the victim could die.
