After the Israelites left Egypt, and while Moses was up on mount Sinai, they decided to make an idol in the form of a calf to use in worship to their god. What they did was they took an Egyptian religious practice but gave it a new name, “a festival to Jehovah/Yahweh” is what they called it. If you read Exodus 32 you'll come to find out what happened to them. It's the same today. Christianity has mixed it's beliefs with Pagan beliefs, and most people think it's OK. If not OK then, why now?

According to the Bible The Origin of Christmas is In the book of Jeremiah 10:1-5. God tells us not to celebrate this holiday. Nimrod was born December 25 but the Catholic Church replaced nimrod with Jesus. In the book of Luke Chapter 2:40-42 it tells us that Jesus was born around the Passover which is in the spring.

Stop trying to find reasons to hate Christmas and instead make somebody happy instead. Because people are so unhappy these days that they will go to extreme lengths to give someone who's happy a reason to be unhappy. Because people fear what they don't understand. @ThirdeyeKrow It's important for true Christians to know this so that they don't celebrate pagan holidays that masquerade as Christian holy days. Deuteronomy 4:2 commands Christians not to add or take away from the scriptures. Celebrating a man-made holiday as if it is a God-appointed holy day is adding to his Word and is an abominable act to God. If you aren't Christian, then I understand why none of this matters to you, but understand why it's very important for professed Christians to know.

It's a commercial scandal, the amount of money families have to spend have to spend to make it work, you have people who are in debt spending money because of the pressure put on them, You get drunk parties, people having sex with every person in sight, unwanted pregnancies....

I've seen people who dont have much, go out of there way to give to the poor for the sake of Christmas. Why would Jesus hate us for that? It's not about what God thinks about us as a whole, it's what he thinks of you. My family, we don't get along, we dont have much to spend either. But we get together and christmas and its the one time we put our differences aside. Gather around a fucking plastic tree, eat and sing songs about an imaginary magic fatass and a red nosed fucking deer. Thats joy!

Hahaha. Huey is the kind of guy who hears a fact, learns what he wanted to know, then neglects the use of critical thinking. 1. Many Americans today don't celebrate Christmas for "Christ". 2. They love it for it's beauty. The idea of exchanging gifts is a great Holiday to follow up with new year's and that's why its always been popular. 3. True Christians could care less what "day" Jesus was born, it's his birth in general that's celebrated. Who counts down on 12/25 and yells "hAPPY brthday!"??
