I loved this game when i was little, but now that im older i can see its a bunch of crap. Sherman shells would kilink off tiger armour no matter how many times you shoot at it. And plus not 1 tiger returned fire.ALso german soldiers didnt just flail around like idiots waiting to get mowed down.

its shame why call of duty is to not realistic .. Sherman's destroy's Panther huh its funny but more funnest is why Wittman flee before shermans ? Sherman was one shot tank and cant beat tiger forward hull. Armament of sherman shoot really fast ;p

True, Shermans were shit if for firepower and armor, but the American tank commanders had more imagination than the rigid and lineair Germans. Also, the Shermans outnumbered the German armor by many times, so the boys defeated the giants.

Shermans are a good match for Panthers, since they're medium tanks.

Panzers, on the other hand woud destroy them easily, if not fur the Sherman's superior speed and versatility.

But indeed, a Tiger would have instantly fried it.

@Gumman50MM the sherman only had 53 mm in the front and panther had over 100 mm in the front. sherman gun: 75 mm with low penetration point panther gun : 75 mm high velocity gun, panther had better penetration point then a tiger. shermans was produced in very big numbers.. a sherman tank isnt good just becouse call of duty says so.

Too fake. Sherman's can't even take 1 direct hit from those Panzer 4s or Panthers. The firing rate is also too fast. Not to mention that the ammo the Sherman is firing in this game is "super ammunition" It's like a high explosion round that can take out enemy armor.

Its not american M4A1 with 75mm cannon,It's british Sherman Firefly with 7pound cannon (76,2mm) who is specialy build to destroying tanks, that cannon is very good can hurt tiger tanks, few of that tanks get this Polish armoured division and its only game, in COD 2 Crusanders was been worst than panzers 2 and 3 (its totaly false)

I was researching this black Baron, and e was a real person (Michael Whittman) Unbelievable! He was killed in his King Tiger on August 8th 1944., by a polish sherman firefly! Dang.

They joined together for the same cause: taking down Paris. They met up with Panther Tanks and Light Infantry of the Germans. After a day, the German grip in their way took them out and forced them another path. They then came to St. Logastia (St. Lo) and saw the city was deserted and didn't know what was coming.

the sherman firefly in the game is a regular sherman m4a3 with the 75mm general purpose gun replaced by the british 76.6mm 17-pounder anti tank gun capable of killing panthers and tigers. This mission is very possible in real life. However the game does lay much leeway. If the tank is facing the enemy tanks it will likely survive. But if the sides were hit, the gas engine's fuel tanks would ignite sending the turret about 20 times as high as the King Tigers turret did. FACT

Richter is actually Michael Wittman, considered to be the greatest Tank Commander in WWII and is a highly decorated ace of the Nazi party. Although Michael Wittman started at the most humblest beginnings, he almost single handedly took the Battle of Villers-Bocage. before his tank was incapaciated, he took out over the whole battle is 138 kills.

He was killed the same way as protrayed in the game.

yep they said plane rockets took him out. Some believe tanks took him out i think the most likely thing was by planes just as in the game. But why shermans take tigers out in this game in frontal attack at the front of the tigers armour? that can't in real, because they needed a rear lucky shot to take a tiger out.

I think it was actually the mass amounts of Firefly tanks that eventually took him out. I mean, even a Tiger or a Panzer is going to fall to 10 Fireflys' shooting at it.
