  • This makes me want to play the original Deus Ex again :D

  • incredibly masterful analog sequencing, how long you been messin with modular synths?

  • yeah great I love flashing elecronic machines with cables, when I get rich I am gonna buy a lot of them for my band...

  • Only one word: WOW!

  • i think people forget that with old analog gear, you had to arrange and practice to be able to perform it. just came to mind because the piece never really loses its feeling, shich could easily happen with moving a seq input slightly too far...great job! :D

  • old school ... i want to build my own

  • As a 35+ year TD fanatic, I never dreamed someone could "outdream" Tangerine Dream. You did just that--uber-KUDOS!!!

  • Thanks, you must be a follower of Chris Franke, I even don't know if he continue on this path for now, last thing I've heard from him, was his film music, far too orchestral, nothing to do with this, sad. But we have for now also Mr.Schreeve or Ian Boddy, isn't it? and you... live on.

    Good work!

  • this sound exactly like a hang drum. AMAZING

  • REEEEEAAAL NICE !!! ( worsht I cud afford one 'o dem synth thingys ) ,,, good brain massage

  • this is one of the best sequences i've ever seen! did you use a keyboard to control the dynamic pitches? or are they all from the sequencer? i'm sorry but i'm still learning about modules and stuff. 5 stars!!!

  • When i heard this i thought: Kraftwerk !

  • suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuperb all the best DonnieM

  • just great!!!

  • Bob Moog lives on through your work and others like you. You honor his memory!

  • This is awesome!

  • hi ,i'm william ,french,51,sorry for my english.

i'm a great fan of tangerine Dream ,Klaus Schulze, and more.

i see your video ,i am falling on my ass :) ,you are lucky to have a great engine,i have a Korg Ms20 and a expender for Reason, and i am making a sequencer with Cubloc (Microcontroler) because i'm a nostalgic .

all your video are great ,continue.

    William

  • sweet, its snowing where i live and this goes well with it whilst i watch it fall.

  • ricordano i kraftwerk

  • Cool!

  • What CD - where ?? I love this stuff. Just needs some vibey bassy notes to really do the Rubicon !

  • Man, that sounds sweet. You must be in modular heaven with that synth.

  • Hi, I've just bought your latest album. I can't wait until it arrives.

    Many thanks, Stuadh

    redled72

  • Excellent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Very nice music, I just love the sounds of these analogue synths. Thank you.

Your CD are now ordered from Amazon.

  • nice sequence

  • OAAaaahhh... very very nice!!!!

  • That's what I call the "Rolls-Royce" of synthesizers.

    Great work.

    Thank's a lot

  • Best demostration of an analog sequencer on youtube. Congratulations, for your synth and your music!

  • wooooow

can i have the name of that model ? id like to know more about it.. what a piece of technologies history and works more than fine..

  • Absolutely fantastic. Thank you.

  • fantastico ti invidio!!!!

  • Very nice vid. What kind of delay do you use? BBD or digital?

  • In this one, a Boss DD-20 Giga Delay.

  • wait, your using an external delay pedal? hmm i guess i never realized it untill i listened for it

  • anything you can plug into such a system makes it internal automatically...you can´t polish shit (eddy van halen) but you can polish it with a modular synth (that`s by me but i have to think about it again when i´m not drunken anymore...)...to morbius 001: i love that sound, but i won´t buy any of your cd´s cause i think that music is too random and i don´t have any cd of redshift and just one of klaus schulze...

  • sober up rethink what you ment and then reply to my question. that way i can get your true opinion. thx

  • Thanx Morbius , very nice performance and lovely sound's , i would like to see in video too your "Dreamstate" :)

    Encore Bravo.

  • how many oscilators?

  • Used in this video?... or, total? In this video, 2-4, just depending at what point(s)... in the system, 10.

  • very nice

  • sign me up also

  • That's wonderful music. I am a big fan of Vangelis and Tangerine Dream and this kicks ass!!!!

  • Thanx. You'd probably enjoy a group called "Redshift UK". They are a T.D.-like group.

  • Thank you for the sugg. Have you ever heard if Neuronium? Great stuff, too!

  • dang great synth..i allways prefer hardware over software but those modules are just 2 expensive :(

  • This is the kind of stuff that got me into electronic music in the first place!! thank you for posting it!

forget about buying a cd this is the type of thing I would pay to see live!! I have been producing electronic music for almost 10 years now and I have still never seen a synth like this in person.

I would love a video of you programing it.

  • that 's great!!!

  • Nice stuff,please post more!

  • Dear Morbius,

you took me back to 1976 when i had just purchased ricochet by TD and my summer was made all the more wonderful by it. Thanks for bringing all that back and more power to you for the music. Is that a Moog 55 you're using?

  • Nope... Synthesizers-dot-com... custom designed/built 158 modules, some modified.

    Gland you enjoyed it.

Question: Do you think (or- would you) buy a CD of ALL Sequence-type stuff, similar to this?... (but in stereo, and not compressed- (YouTube's deal)).

How many people would buy a CD of 9, for $15 ?

  • Sign me up,

    Stuadh

  • I would by a livedvd with vids pf you playing this for 30 :P

  • awesome dude.

this kinda reminds me of Tangerine Dream, my favourite band =D

    Nice work.

  • Great music, can you tell me where i can get more music like this on cds or even lps ??

  • There's lots-O-people doing this flavor... most recognized would probably be Tangerine Dream, and Redshift UK.

  • Sorry Morbius, but i was talking about yur own production.

  • Very enjoyable! Question: What is the delay/echo unit you're using? Thanks!

  • It's a Boss DD-20 Giga Delay

  • I can't wait. I'm now building my 16x4 step sequencer and I've mostly been listening to your stuff while I solder away.

    Stuadh

  • I want some of this stuff. Where do I buy it? Thanks

  • What?... the equipment, or the tracks?

  • I want the tracks. Thanks

  • Ah! (good) ; ) .... ummm... I plan on releasing CD's, and perhaps online downloads at some point in the future. The stereo audio tracks from these You-Tube videos (which is NOT stereo, and very compressed) would most likely be included.

An announcement would be made here on You-Tube, as well as other online locations, when the time comes.

  • Gr8 stuff...tnx 4 posting.

  • suuuuuuuuperb thank you for the posting morbius

  • Can i buy it or something?

  • Well... these sequencer videos are slated to be released in upcoming CD's. Of course, those will be in full stereo (with delayed slap-back), and not compressed to death like stuff here on YouTube. There will be announcements about the CD's when the time comes.

  • A recent act of theft, copyright infringement, and violation of YouTube's "Terms of Use" agreement has prompted me to remind everyone that the video, and music contained on this video is copyrighted, and owned by me. Use without permission is strictly forbidden.

  • Excellent stuff.

  • very good sound!!!!

  • doesnt sound that different to some arps i can play on my VIRUS TI.. that is a cool machine but a little big, and really just a nice piece of history to play with.. do people record tracks with them or just fiddle all day? peace.

  • This is amazing.

    Brilliant.

    Beautiful.

    I WANT IT

  • Very well done, appreciate it,going back to the seventies,I like those old sequencers a lot.cheers mate!

  • Great analog sound.

    no softsynth can emulate that

    Is it a Moog Modular?

  • I think that is a neat synth you got

  • I can add a beat with that useing my casio WK3000 keyboard

  • continue to work it ,wonder machine

  • Wonderful :)

  • BEAUTIFUL. ..We had an ARP 2500 in a room with a key given to 5 or 10 students at BYU in Utah in 1980. I was a freshman. I was the only student to spend time in that room, that year. I know this because the settings never changed from what I did the last time I was in there. That was a very charmed part of my life. I STILL miis my prophet 10 as well. Where ever you are Yasha. Give it back, bitch. You never payed me you bum.

  • God work

  • god i wish i also had a .com-system!

  • do a more Morton Subotnick type piece. this repetitious old school keyboard stuff is okay, but I prefer trippy sounds, not regular melodics

  • I wish I could buy myself a custom-made modular synth, but money's tight at the moment :(

  • wonderful! Thanks.

  • Ok now we want an entire CD of this kind of stuff..

    ;)

  • I'm workin' on it... but it won't all be sequencer/Tangerine Dream style.

  • You own. ~

  • physician (teamliquid.net)

  • this is superb all the best Donnie

  • Cool stuff. Love it.

  • Surely Mobius is actually Edgar Froese....

Very nice work, I'm building my own modular soon.

  • sound and reminds me a TD Phaedra or Rubicon - just a little but I love it

  • Morbius, that is awsome. put more, more, more!!!!

  • BTW- I'd appreciate comments and video ratings.

    Thanx,

    ~Morbius~
