  • これが原作エルフェンの曲か。。。!!

  • Meant Hugo Wolf not Huge Wolf

  • The Opening theme of Elfen Lied is basic on this German Poet poem Elf Song!! It was later change into a song by Huge Wolf a German conposer!!

  • I'm glad that thay change EL opening. This music is... terrible.

  • why is it so easy to imagin sumone gettin cut up to this song?

  • I thought "Lied" means something in German.... That's what it came from, right?

    It pronounces like "lead"...

  • @hatel51 And you thought right. "Lied" in german means "Song". Therefore, "Elfen Lied" means "Song of the Elf".

  • @fastforwardable Okay, It always bugged me... Thankz.

  • Elfen lied is one of the best animes out there...i really can't find one to compare it to.If you can, give me a reply so i can watch it

  • @robizeratul Saikano or Saishū Heiki Kanojo (they're the same anime)

  • lucy/nyuu sang this when she died in the manga

  • @sonadowfangirl30869

    cool spoiler alert, bro

  • @Rydia20 what i just asked

  • @Rydia20

Yeah... I know that next time I ain't looking for shit on the internet until I've finished reading...

  • @AlbertoLaiho

I hope her comment didn't ruin it too much for you :O

  • @Rydia20

Guess she's a girl... My bad. But still, I got rather upset when I read it haha. As I said, it's kind of expected, but it's still not nice to just suddenly confirm it like that without having finished. Whatever though, I'm still enjoying the manga more and more as I keep reading it!

  • @sonadowfangirl30869

Goddamnit man, I'm barely on chapter 47 of the manga... Even though it's kind of expected, try to think about spoiler alerts next time. And yeah, I'm dead serious about me still being half way through the manga. Not cool bro.

  • @AlbertoLaiho i read the entire manga through the night. The very next day which was today i reread the ending and the memories that kohta and lucy shared together and i literally cried on the bus. The manga is gold love it, it is the only book / novel/ manga that actually made me cry and i cried for like 15 minutes on the bus. 0.0 and everyone was looking at me funny.

  • @WilsonYu343

I gotta say I shed a tear as well haha. I absolutely loved the ending, even if it was somewhat spoiled by that comment... The anime was really good and very well done, but the manga is in a whole other level. It's definitely a "hard read," due to its rawness, but it's not far from what some people do go through in reality (except without unrealistically powerful mutant humans haha). I also loved how nothing is left unresolved. One of the most beautiful endings I've seen, no doubt!

  • @WilsonYu343 yeah, the manga is so sad...

  • If i knew what was being said then I think I might be able to figue out why 'Elfen Lied' was called as such. Very nice song btw :)

  • @bladeofthetalon You can find the lyrics in german and english at the description.

  • It's so weird that a playful song such as this will turn into the goriest anime ever seen! I love Elfen Lied!

  • Elfenlied .. what does it mean?

  • @snowfire1239 "Elf song".

  • Damn I clicked on this hoping to hear the Elfen Lied Opening Theme.

  • @MrMaIyMisiu A tad off, but you've got to admit it's interesting hearing what the anime was named after

  • @Grimjawl I've been trying to figure out why the author named his manga after the song. Are there any meanings in it that are similar to the anime/manga series? I find both of them very influential on anyone who wants to tell stories through any kind of media (novels, graphic novels, etc.), and it inspired me to do some research on the background of the manga, since that's where it all started.

  • @Katana991 Yes, if you remember, the singer girl in the anime/manga sings a song, that Lucy's other personality sings with her, well it's this song. However the song has another connection also. I'll pm u the link

  • @Grimjawl pm me the link too! I can't figure out the connection :3 orz

  • @MrMaIyMisiu

Its called Lilium, in case you didn't know :P Funny how everybody who came to hear this song did it because the anime is based off it. Without Elfen Lied nobody would know this song existed XD

  • @MrMaIyMisiu

    Me too

  • Beatiful :)

  • i hear some Gustav Mahler in it both are Excellent composers

    talent beyond talent

  • @lpipmp They were both Wagnerians.
