Australia should consider going nuke otherwise we are committed to an alliance with US which means we get involved in their wars Vietnam, Iraq, Afganistan to "buy protection". Just like we did from Gt. Britain i,e. Boar War, WW1 and fighting in Battle of Britain whilst our own country was under threat. USA power is declining China & India are growing we could never beat them alone but we could deter them from attacking us with our own nukes. Not attacking USA but all Empires decline eventually.

@rag5206 I agree to a point, we most definately should go nuclear for our own power supply, but as far as the war side what do you think an invading country would be after anyway, the biggest threat out there today is the islam 4th century beliefs, we need to ban religion before we go nuke, otherwise the muslims will just brainwash everyone with fear and then have the nukes in their control, all wars have been caused by religion to this point, the enemy is not people, it's their belief.
