Ur all saying krh4007 is wrong, he isn't. The wild fish that are prey to oscar have survived due to natural selection, the sick ones have already died, which means the ones that survive to be eaten aren't sick so they probably won't pass on diseases. BUT they still may so sometimes predatory fish die due to something they ate. In captivity the feeders are easily able to survive even if they are sick. If you feed the commercially bred feeders to the cichlids the cichlid has a likely chance to die

How did they do in the 55, I have 2 oscars I need to buy a new tank for because I have too many cichlids. Will a 55 be too small if its just the 2 and they grow up together?

@darthgir2 55 is 2 small for 2 oscars. You can only only have one adult oscar in a 55 gallon. Just make sure you do weekly water changes. Other then that if you want to keep the 2 i would say that a 75 is the absolute minimum.

nice oscar..but a little slow...you should check out my oscar...the video i put on was a long time age..that when i haven't bought the heater..but now when i bought the heater they can eat up to 3 fish in 5 second or more...beside i love oscar...but they are too dirty..i have to clean my tank every other week...

WOW Impressive display of fish abuse, Im not trying to be an A@#$^%& but do some research before you go out and buy fish because you think their cool! That tank is too overcrowded man the oscars need atleast 50 gallons to themselves I know that sounds dumb but its true..........,and you shouldnt feed them live fish its not healthy and the oscars dont really obtain the proper nutrition. They will be sick or worse dead soon enough, but other than that nice tank/fish.

I now have the two oscars in a 90 gallon. as well as 5 other tanks throughout my house. They are very happy and healthy. And I know plenty about them to know that there is no abuse going on. thanks for looking out

your Oscars look good bro! I have a 80 gallon tank with three oscars myself. They are babys and I will watch them gro. 2 tigers and 1 albino. With of course a small alge eater.{ every tank needs one } And dont listen to that "goof" Forgetison.
