On Netflix they have the whole series... but they use the "cohesive" ending. I was surprised how different this was- the only thing that would tip someone off the fake version was fake was how Gina was inexplicably sick and then somehow got well enough to travel away with them.
Does anyone know how they did this? Did they shoot 2 endings at the same time or have to go back and rebuild all their sets when making the video version?
Watched this baby on Chiller today and it had a lot of stuff in it that i haven't seen since the show first aired on CBS in 1991. I haven't seen this original, and far better ending in a very, very long time.
I remember watching this on TV with my mom way back in the day. It's a shame that they didn't make it into a full fledged series, it woulda been good.
This is the way it was broadcast on CBS in 1991. Stephen King wrote this "cliffhanger". A CBS executive wrote the ending on the video releases. CBS gave their thumbs up for a TV series and showed this on TV when it premiered. Rumor has it that the reason CBS backed out of the series because King revealed that he only intended for a single season of the show. So the later tv viewings and video releases have to have a conclusive ending. (Even though the ending sucks)

@highereducationtv they shot both endings at the same time. The released video version was written by the producers, not by Stephen King.
