That's a good idea. But if you didn't have livestock and you wanted to farm the same land continually year after year you could use wood chips to cover the ground instead of tilling the ground. If you make sure where you farm stays covered in wood chips every year your harvest will become more and more plentiful. As an added bonus, the mulch helps prevent frost damage, weeds, and insects. Wonderful vi. It's good to remind us how important the soil is and that we can't take from it forever without letting it get replenished. I do something similar to keep my pastures healthy with little or no store bought fertilizer. I do have to lime them every couple of years. Again, thanks for a great vid.
And you wont have to water as much and the fruits will be jucier.
