snakeshitz323, They are Called Blue-tongued skinks, and the ones you see are probably Irian Jaya BTS's and are imports. The ones at the show are captive bred Northerns and Easterns, making them more expensive. Westerns fetched upwards of 10 grand because they are virtually unheard of in the pet trade. Only a handful in the world own them, and so that is a fair price.

People price reptiles based on what buyers will pay and from ads I have seen $2500 is fairly cheap (cheapest I saw was $3999)
