this guy really needs to know about Xphraze, the best vector synth VSTi out there , I never heard something like that,great for sound manipulation and real time performance, and with great expansion packs...
how does someone go about working in sound design professionally? is it a realistic "job" to go after, or is it just some limited, specialized career, like a lot of the other sound-related careers?
@Buhzie15 Best way to get started is to make a portfolio of your absolute best work. Then try applying at local game companies. If you can't get hired as a sound designer from outside the company, working as a QA tester is a good place to get started. That way you can apply to sound design positions from within the company.
It's pretty tough to get into, but it's worth a shot if you have a good backup plan.
