He is a real person. But he is much more than just a person. He is beyond reproach. Without him the universe will be destroyed. He is the only survivor from the last universe. Galactus came to be from the union of his human self, "Galan", and the sentience of everything in the old universe. He is not invincible, but very powerful. Well that's what i gathered from "Marvel Saga -The Origin of Galactus" Vol1 no.34 Nov 1987

And after reading the story line where the Elders of the Universe wanted to destroy Galactus because he was older than they were.and Eternity told the Heroes that if Galactus dies the balance of the universe will be destroyed and the end will come.

Yes, In the story, Galactus started out as a Mortal from a universe that existed before this one. As the cycle of life went on his universe began to die but he managed to create a way to survive using a technology that harnessed the 'Power Cosmic'. Once his universe died ours began to form, as a result he learned how the Power Cosmic worked by watching the Universe grow. He used that knowledge to become so powerful that he requires vast amounts of energy simply to live.

Actually, yes they did do a Marvel/Star Trek TNG crossover. The Watcher and Q were responsible for the cross-over, although I don't know what the story was about.

It's said that Galactus was a normal man from the universe that perceeded this one. When the Big Crunch of the old universe occured, the "Sentiance" of the universe combined with the man, and when the current universe was created, Galactus was born.

He is considered a neccessary part of the Universe, along with Death, Eternity, Oblivion and Infinity.

Thats the strange part. Well the answer is 13 or 21 episodes.  There were 13 episodes that aired from 2/7/1998 - 5/16/1998, but there were 8 additional episodes that were written and 'supposed' to have been made but never aired. Hopefully, with the F4 movie FOX can actually show the ones that never aired.
