Too many of the characters were left. It was mostly just the Spencer family in this.

There were way too few characters. Also it seems as if it were an introduction to a One Tree Hill (back when it started) or one of those teen-targeting shows like Degrassi (I ♥ Degrassi, but GH is not just some teeny show. :/

I liked the way that you would connect the couples through a montage in which you would see both of them, though.

I don't know why Brian Frons made those ABC soaps incorate those promos into all 3 ABC Soaps openings, but I wish that would end and the shows could design their own good looking openings as they did before 2004.
