  • Voodoo and alienware are way over priced alienware is starting to make some cheeper laptops but still way to high in price

  • haha at 1:36 the dude try's to play it off like he's really standing on that but hes sitting on the table and gently resting on the pc.

  • not as ugly as your profile picture...grow up and show respect ...not for anyone ...but for yourself..

  • well im on my blackbird002 and you will be only be disappointed to know that hp has discontinued the sale of this great monster....ill sell mine to a person that thinks money is no concern and makes me an offer too good to pass up

  • well you obviously never had the privilege to use one

  • that thing is a fucking TANK in all aspects

  • looks more like a radiator then a pc.

  • best comp ever just bought mine for 6,000 $ and its really the best thing to happen to comps lol hp and voodoo are like some of the best comp companies ever now i wonder how long till they aquire alienware.

  • rip. honestly. go custom

  • I want one of these PC's someday after college.

    Reason?

I trust the pros more than my self (low vision lol.)

  • go custom

    pros wlll rip u

  • would this comp be good for playing WoW?

  • hell yeah, is it any good for Orange Box?

  • good for ANYTHING out there

  • it comes with a free "orange box" two cd set ..and it plays great

  • is it possible to get one of these anymore?

  • well i think they are only selling the shell and no components ..or try e bay only like 500 were made i think

  • i was very lucky ..hp and voodoo ran a 2008 new years promo deal that was just available for 2 months ...i bought mine on the very last day of the deal ...i payed 2,500 dollars for there liquid cooled unit with upgraded sound card and the agiea physics card and a 22 inch hp flat screen monitor the next day after i placed my order the same unit was 4,500 minus the monitor

  • n00b of course dont you see it's size, it has core 2 quad, and a nvidia 9900 something like that

  • Hey Rahul, why don't you give credit where it is dew? You and I know that hp didn't design the liquid cooling you have on that so called pc. Just give credit where it is due man.

  • just got mine today it FUCKING ROCKS

i will be posting an unboxing video also

  • holy shat that thing is HUGE!

  • Well, it's made from light-weight materials, like aluminum, and it incorporates a pretty impressive design, so it's worth showing rather than hiding under a desk (in my opinion). As mentioned, it's rather modifiable, so it is possible to move components to a smaller case, if desired.

  • Oh id love to display the HP blackbird, i wouldnt want to hide it in any cramped space or under a desk UNLESS it was one of those really modern, glass tables whre you could see it underneath. i like the design of it too, its what originally caught my attention! Especially the "hovering" design. The only problem for me is... i couldnt afford the thing...

  • its 72lbs, 32 kg

  • I got it 3 days ago. The only thing i hate about it is, FUCKING VISTA.

  • you can always format it, and reinstall to xp

  • how

  • I CANT FIND IT IN BRAZIL!

  • Think abouth the stuff under the hood that aint cheap + you get some good stuff with it:)

  • i love the case, but the price is total rip off.

  • The only thing even remotely new or good about this is the "toolless" harddrive bays. Water cooler is being replaced by water/peltier cooling system by companies such as COOLIT. Water cooling is only has good as the temperature of the room it is in!! Hp is behind the curve...AGAIN

  • The internal setup seems very useful and ideal but the case does look pretty nasty. Looks like an old radiator.

  • lol yea it does look like a radiator, and arn't the doors removeable on viturally every case in the world?

  • lol, the funny thing is, it works like a radiator with the liquid cooling system.

  • still is a overhyped computer tho, over priced too

  • yeap, cant agree more.

  • waste of money , and a butt ugly case , looks like something from the 80's

  • it is from the 80's :)

  • Build your own Rig you'll safe way more money and have the same products. The price diffrence is the money your paying these guys to build it for you, in that case pay me and I'll build you a new PC.

  • Awesome case! I wonder, does anyone here actually have a Blackbird?

  • I wanna steal one. ^_^

Somebody give me one of these. :D

  • Americans don't do anything better. They don't even produce anything of their own. Most of the stuff sold in US is outsourced somewhere else.

  • Can only be made in Asia?! You mean China. Americans always forge/cast metal better.

  • best motherboard? thats a striker extreme? i had the extreme and sent it back as it was shit, the maximus formula is 100 times better especially of overclocking!

waste of money build your own!!

if i add another 8800 xxx ultra to my pc i would gain very little performance increase for £462 extra!SLI is pretty poor :(

  • Consider Apple's top end Mac Pro though - £12,000 ($23,771). Shit that really is too much! And only a shade more powerful.

  • its freakin amazing but its like $4000

  • 6000

  • $9700 for total speced out version

  • 9700 ?! it says 2400 ?

  • fucking overpriced piece of shit..

  • YEAH!!!

  • piece of jesus

  • Now that the price is down im considering buying one.

  • WOW! Overpriced components in a new case and for only $3000+, sorry thats just crazy.

The only cool thing about it is you can stand on it!

  • sorry you are just cheap, get a job please. if you dont wanna get high end components then quit gaming.

  • Your right!

    I can spend $4000 on a blackbird.

Or build it myself for $2000.

Your paying $2000 for a new case and the Blackbird name.

I EVEN GET 2 YEAR INSURANCE ON ALL MY ITEMS I USE.

Your obviously a person who purchased one and is trying to defend it since you own one.

Sorry but you got screwed over. They use second grade components. I get a EVGA 8800GT and blacbird has a JGFHG(wtf kind of brand is that)8800gt.

  • wish I had $6,000 dollars to spend on a computer

  • Can build you a better system than a blackbird for half the price.

  • Yeah its not that impressive at all.

+ New better Intel quad core chips coming out 20th Jan 08.

    Nice to build with.

  • ANTEC 900 case is nice too. 200mm fan =).

  • nice as in efficient yes, but its ugly as hell.

  • The new Quads out actually. =) but sold out.

  • read this guy's weblog and you will see so much HP ass-kissing, that it will want to make you puke. rahul sood is just lucky to have a job there since noone else would hire him. his company was saved from bankruptcy and got sold. nothing to do with him but the business people behind voodoo. what does he do other than dish out self-promoting lies on his blog. HP dollars well-spent! go figure. this guy can't get enough publicity to validate his own identity.

  • OMFG. You could build this damn thing for around 1500 bucks, comps like this are rip off's, WOW! Liquid cooling! You can get tubes with glowing biodegradable liquid to cool it...I mean seriously, this thing is a RIP OFF. Now if you want to get a REALLY good stock kit, buy it from Falcon Northwest, sure it's 20 grand but my friend. got one, ran around 50 instances of WoW and not one bit of slowdown.

  • If only it wasnt so fricken expensive.

  • nice!!

  • Its huge!!!!!!!

  • *sniff sniff*

Hm, I smell a fanboy. CF, if you knew anything about real PC modding and engineering, you would understand just how ahead of the game this system. Alienware and XPS are very good, very pricey, but not at all inovative. Mac? Whoever heard of a Mac gaming rig?

Do you homework, read the reviews, study the benchmarks and realize that, somehow, HP actually didn't f*ck this up.

  • Yeah I agree with you Lee. CF is a fanboy and doesn't know shit.

  • First off, Dell and AlienWare are the same company and Well, they are crash prone and very propriatary with components. and Mac, who has herd of a Mac gaming PC seriusly and they are way over priced for nothing. HP has always been at the front of Computer tech just face the facts.

  • hp sucks!!

  • show me benchmarks then call which ever pc junk or crap :)

  • get a xps

  • Xps is for noobs, and no one could ever find a cooling system like this one, so fuck you thermaltake sucks it is overclocked, and building a custom pc like generalx5 who is obviously a jerk thinks he can make a pc with a One off 1.6 kw PSU who is also jealous can just... lol go cry to momma

  • H2O cooling efficiency directly proportional to the increase in temperature. So if temperature are higher, more cooling is done. Stock CPUs dont require water cooling as they dissapate only 60w-80w, which can be easilly dissapated with air sinks.

  • JUNK... If you know the specs and know what your want, u can custom a pc for 30% to 80% less in cost. The case designer is noob sauce, Thermaltake has better cases. I doubt the fact taht its a hydrolic panel.. if it is however the case, its a waste of money. Whats the point of water cooling if its not even overclocked. Standard air cool with high chassy air flow is enough.

  • XPS 720 H2C instead, please.

  • its like a dream machine!!!!!!!wow gud job HP

  • nice
