No atheism lacks morals like modesty, family, respect and love for everybody, solving problems peacefully etc. As their is no atheist doctrine it lacks all this while the bible covers all this, also slavery which is ok if conducted sensibly. Read the bible or ask me if you want to know more about biblical instructions on slavery.

Surely there were religious people either who did horrendous things. That was your point...I'm only answering to it. You don't have to be a Christian to have morals. I imagine lots of people in power who call themselves Christians are not in fact, but only identify themselves to win votes or for image. Religious people are no better than atheists- everyone who is brought up well knows right from wrong. I'm an atheist but I volunteer, help to replant trees, buy fairtrade and would never consider killing or stealing from anyone.

Nothing is wrong with Islam. There are muslims in my country, Cambodia too and we have no muslim insurgency. Why? Because Khmer Buddhists and the government don't treat their muslim population like shit the way Thai government does to their muslims. No religion preaches violence. But when people are being treated badly and oppressed, they will rise up. Search Tak Bai massacre and you'll get a glimpse why this is happening.

yes, long story short the area in the south used to belong to Malay but now Thailand. The people there are not Thai, and refuse to assimilate to Thai culture and wants Independence due to differences in religion/culture.
