but the f1 is naturally aspirated with 627 hp and was built 15 years earlier then the veyron and it also has a higher hp per ton at 550 hp (veyron has 530) the veyron is just a simple car, they put lots of power in a car and drive it down the road. on the other hand the f1 is something completely different.

if they sell in the U.S. I think they have too. I know the McLaren F1 was crash tested, and that the Porsche 959 could not be sold in the U.S. because Porsche refused to crash test it, and so there for, it was not legal for sale in the U.S.

Yes, they need to if they want to sell them in most countries. Most of Europe, Canada, and the United States require good safety ratings. EURO NCAP, IIHS, DOT etc all have very strict regulations. Some super cars you just can't buy in the United States like TVRs. Even some modern TVRs do not come with airbags. Unlike "lukesimianer" said, they cannot remove anything it needs to be a completely stock car, full of everything, just like the ones they sell. I'm working on getting an R33 in the US.

If I had one, i would. Why not? Video shows that Veyron isn't typical hyper car that can be driven only when it's sunny and dry, otherwise it will break down or crush. It can be every day car. That's the beauty of it, and milestone advantage over Seleen etc.
