Yes is sexy is red is italian .......................but it brokes very offten is not reliabile the valve clearence interval is 7500km , timingh belts kit interval is 15-20.000km and this 2 services cost 6-7000 euros and in one year that is the maintanence cost ....i do 20.000km easy in one year .....and have less hp. like a 750 bike (gsx-r 750 =150 hp 848= 134 hp)....so what is so good on this bike?..it must be the red paint:))))

Ive got a ducati monster and replace all shit myself(even valves, wich is easy bec It only has 2 compared to 4 with the superbike models)! What so good? Marchesini rims, one sided swing arm! People are talking crap about ducs without even haven ridden or owned one theirselves! I aint talking crap about jap bikes bec I only have ridden a duc!

I think the Ducati 848 is an advanced bike. I would probably go with the gsxr 750 to start with because its cheaper more throttle friendly, and little easier to work on. But, as far as performance, overall look, and county of origin go, I would without a doubt rather have the Ducati 848. Not to sound ignorant against Japanese people, I'm just Italian.

@TempFix Here is the truth about ducati and you do it on your own risk.

If you ride one, you will want one and if you got the money for it then u'll most likely buy one. But as we all know.. the thrill in basically everything wears off and eventually you'll get rid off it. I've been there, as well as all of the people around me.

keeping this in mind might just leave you at the point where stuff like these remains as eye candy.
