Probably had good intentions with the tutorial but seriously lacking in the tutorial department. Making the assumption that everyone has the same understanding of the application or not stating that you need a certain level before you do this to follow all the instructions demonstrates ignorance. This tends to be the practice with a lot of these videos...not just this one.

Using shortcuts that aren't explained.......why would you do that?

sarcasm aside, you could always use annotations on youtube to show what keyboard shortcuts you're using to appease guys like this. XP

Ok, just got Photoshop and ... can someone tell me what I´m doing wrong when have lasso tool equipped and I only get a hand in the screen area?

if you have been watching youtube videos in full screen for some time, there is a photoshop glitch that makes a hand tool replace all tools and stuff which is really wierd. Only solution I've found is to restart your pc.
