Major turbo lag. The boost comes on way too hard way too late. in 1st and 2nd gear there is virtually no usable power - as a daily driver that would be a retarded set up.
@GethinJames It's a GT3071R. There are hundreds of these cars rolling around with far bigger turbos than this. GT3071R is probably the most popular all around choice for the 1.8T & 2.0T cars. Go take a ride in any car with either engine and this choice of turbo and you will change your mind about "major turbo lag". Don't forget your diaper.
On the apr website, I see the new stage III+ for the tsi. Will there be any new action for the mkv 2.0 tfsi, will this be it? My understanding: as it is, there are only the k04 and stage III gt28 upgrades for the mkv tfsi (gti) with nothing in the works. And then this recent video pops up.
APR! When this stage 4 kit comes out, will the entire kit be available to purchase through the APR website? Would the head and/or block need to be shipped to your facility to be resurfaced and bored for the appropriate compression ratio, as well with upgrading the internals? (Similar concept as the HPFP upgrade)? This would be great if you guys came out with a similar strategy. Im not rich, but Id be willing to upgrade my stage 2 to a stage 4 rather than spend $30,000 on a car thats half as fast

Is it true that a tts 2.0t fsi is better for tuning than the 2.5tfsi ttrs? i dont think so but I really need to know for sure because im thinking of trading in a stronic tts for a manual ttrs.. :(
@realNZT The 2.5 TFSI and the TTRS is better than the TTS in every way possible. The 2.5 TFSI has lighting fast spool and awesome power. If you have the funds, go with the TTRS! It's insane!
@ahernandez4110 That will depend on the specs of your build. We are currently testing several different proprietary cam shaft designs so we've halted all sales until we finish.
@kern417 This is a pretty old development video. Back then we used the smaller GT2871R from the existing stage 3 kit for the FSI. Newer kits have used the slightly larger 3071R.
