  • You know I don't see any of the anti Wal Mart or anti corporation types starting their own businesses and giving their employees "fair wages" or "benefits". I won't say that these companies are perfect, but if you have a better model, go for it!

  • fukn raza walks out of alberstons w free beer n gorceries w old reciepts of bubble gum.. Y que putos!

  • FUCK YOU ALBERTSONS! I'm glad you fired me it was worth destroying all that property and stealing all the free liquor and cigarettes. Plus I was high half the time at work anyway. I was just getting back what you owed me.

You can take those 8 bux an hour n shove'em up your corporate ass!

  • @RUGERrell13 I work at Albertsons, they just laid off a guy who worked for the company for 19 and a half years. He was just six months away from having his retirement fully vested (if he reached the 20 year mark) and they laid him off so he couldn't get it =( I was in the break room with him, he was in tears and told me he didn't know what on earth he was going to tell his wife and daughter. It makes me sick...glad to hear you stole back from them LoL =D

  • albertson rocks! safeway sucks!...

  • @jellybeans0902 absolutely even though Albertsons prices are simular to Safeway you can't beat those cakes Albertsons makes!!!!! Oh and the chicken in the deli department, damn Albertsons why did you leave us? It should have been Randall's (Safeway)

  • @willdav713 Albertsons cakes have enough HFCS in them to give you a cavity just by getting too close to them, and the chicken comes from Con Agra and is loaded with MSG.

  • If you're not a Journeyman (seniority) then you have to earn your raises through hours on a scale. Journeyman, at least here in WA, have gotten cost of living raises the past 4 years I've been with Albertsons.

I worked hard and showed them I was worth the raise so a manager put me in for the bump to Journeyman in 1.5 years. Management gets treated like crap, got that right. Still, I think it's a pretty good company to work for.

  • This october I will be working for Albertsons for 5 years. I was hired oct. 30 2005, about a month AFTER the "new" contract came into play

Even after 5 years, I've managed to stay at 10.50 an hour. This is a combination of working 3/4 time, and switching departments. (switching departments resets your hours, of course they dont tell u this)

  • @Hatebreeder2007 I work at Albertsons, I was a stock clerk for a little over three years (August 4th 2007) Just recently I got demoted to courtesy clerk... to where I can only work in my original GM (General Merchandise) department two or once a week...How is that reseting my hours??? Sorry, but I am just curious?

  • there is not one right thing about this video.

  • even if you work your ass off they dont pay shit. . NO EQUAL PAY FOR EQUAL WORK IS TRUE. AND YOU HAVE TO EITHER BE A MANAGER OR WORK THERE FOR 5 YEARS TO GET ANY BENEFITS. AND THE SHIT WE HAVE TO TAKE FROM CUSTOMERS IS UNBELIEVABLE. ITS EMBARRASING TO WORK THERE SOMETIMES TAKING SHIT FROM PEOPLE AND TRYING MY HARDEST TO NOT PUNCH ANY CUSTOMER OR DUCHEBAG EMPLOYEE IN THE FACE AND SAY FUCK YOU I QUIT. other than that great place to work...

  • I want to punch some customers so fucking hard, you have no idea. sometimes some employees too

  • @Hatebreeder2007 i agree!!!

  • @silverbackzack I worked at Albertsons for 6 1/2 years, and that whole 6 1/2 years, I was a courtesy clerk and got treated like shit! I had to put up with cranky managers and customers, got blamed for shit that wasnt my fault, and one of the managers who had been working there only 3 years as opposed to my 6, got in my face one time, I got right back in his face and chewed his ass out and wrote a letter to the store director about him threatening to call the associate hotline!

  • i worked at the sons of Albert when i was 16-18. The management always treated the younger employees crappy. Even though most of the older employees were not very intelligent. I think it was just because some high schoolers would come in for half the pay and show them up on there own job all while going to school full time.

  • Worked for Albertsons for 10 years. They treat management like dogs, that is why I quit but in there defense this is a load of crap. They had the best benefits and 401k plans I ever had and pay was pretty good. if you were a salary manager though they had your ass working 24/7.

  • But thanks to stupid corporate mgmt, Albertsons has gone from being one of the most prominent grocers in the US to being....a piece of junk. Seriously, when you have tons of stores being pawned off and plumeting revenue, what else are you going to do?

  • This is not true, I work for Albertsons. Funny though.

  • lol

  • this shit is so dumb!

  • no wage increases:

wage increases are determined by the position and senyority. and they happen all the time.

no equal pay for equal work:

someone that has been, lets say a checker for 10 years is going to make more than the checker that just started yesterday. whats wrong with that. its called senyouity and wage ingreases come in incraments determined by how many hours youve worked.

this video is so retarded! im sure these people havent worked for albertsons so they have no idea.

  • the more i think about it the more this video pisses me off. albertsons is a great place to work.

lets go through each tupperware container

no health care for your children: if you work at a union store you get free healthcare for you and all your family members, if you are at a non union store you pay less than $15 a week for an individual $25 for a family but you get paid $1 more which is more than enough to cover that.

  • i work at albertsons, get paid well, get health care as well as birthday pay, sick leave pay and personal day pay, sunday and night premium pay, holiday pay. 4 weeks of paid vacation a year and they treat me well. this video confuses me.

  • I work at Albertsons, only because I'm still a minor and trying to get some money

its not bad, I can easily get promoted.. if you just work hard... I'm getting promoted when I hit 18 :) so I don't get this video

Why should a grocery store provide health insurance and shit?

  • Hmm, that's funnny, I work for Albertsons. If I HAD children, they would have insurance. I have been given 2 raises in 9 months. And as far as I know, everyone starts out at the same rate for the same jobs.

  • I work at Albertsons as well, for almost two years. I make almost 18 dollars an hour, plus shift premiums and sunday pay (1.35x). Each year, I get a raise. I pay $5 for generic and $10 for brand name prescriptions. I have health insurance that cost me $20 per month. When I have a family, it will be $76 per month for full coverage.

  • What the fuck Albertsons is this? I've worked at Albertsons for almost 2 years and I only make about 8 bucks an hour. Well 7.80

  • Yeah, 10 bucks says there upper ups of the place. My store is the worst one.

  • I don't really care for Albertson's and i really don't have a reason. I just prefer to shop at Ralph's.

  • I think I heard that Albertsons was going out of business here in Oklahoma City.

  • Albertsons LLC (which owns and operates the Albertsons stores in Oklahoma state) did annouce plans to leave that state by fall 2007 due to cost-cutting reasons. However this commerical right here is an attack to Supervalu, which operates most Albertsons stores on the west coast. A Google search "Albertsons/Supervalu" might explain things better.

  • facism is alive and well in america

  • Corporations are required by law to hold profit-making as their top priority over people. Conservatives believe corporations are better to decide how our problems get solved. Many conservatives believe that people are inherently evil and must be contained from doing harm to each other. So a corporation is preferable to them as it has no morals, good or bad.

  • Liberals believe that people are basically good as default with some exceptions to the rule, but corporations lack a conscience and could therefore prove to be more dangerous than people if left in charge.

  • you people need to take this more seriously!(you! the people posting) This affects thousands of people and you play it off like it's no big deal, let the corps rape and pilage even more. Pull your heads out and stand up for what is fair and right. Maybe nothing will change but at least you don't have to sit back and take in the (BEEP)

  • thats an eloquent arguement for a dude named buttholechapstick, i can only hope people realize the veracity of it, we have become slaves - bought and sold into a system over which no one has control from the day of our births.

  • Are you stoned! Of course corporations care more about money then you! There is no point whining about it!

  • and they wonder why we want socialized health care, because almost no businesses provide insurance for the "little people" while the CEO's give themselves 3 million dollar raises.

  • I use to work in the grocery industry and I left letting corporate office have it. I loved it!

  • Thats right! Lets show those No-Living-Wage bastards for who they are!

  • okay I supported the anti-walmart film you guys did but this supermarket greed thing (shaking head). I'm predict you're going to alienate a lot of anti-walmart people who work in the grocery industry.

  • why? for telling the truth?

  • I'm not saying the grocery industry is without sin. My point is if walmart is the enemy then whats' to be gained by throwing stones at one of your best allies?

  • yeah i dig what you are saying

the enemy of my enemy is my friend and all, the problem is that they are both the enemy of the very people who constitute the structure itself. in this regard they knowingly subject people ot a form of indentured servitude tantamount to slavery - it is not so much the hypothetical existence of alternatives for the individual in terms of occupation as it is the meat-hook reality that has ppl taking the job in the first place.

  • All corporations do this. The health care industry is big example of this. The more they deny and take away, the more money they make. It said really, especially when the government isn't holding any of these corporations accountable because they're being bought out by this corporate lobbyists. Oh the joy of a free capitalist market with no oversight.
