@GroundedForLife27 We're a democracy. I believe that homosexuality is wrong and i'm not in favor of marriage being changed. That's is my stance. It affects my life in like I said, I think it's wrong and with given the chance, I will attempt to decrease the chances of it happening. The babies dying in abortion aren't straight-forward affecting my life either, but i'm still not voting pro-choice, because I don't think it's right.

Great Review. Agreed with ALMOST everything you said. Homosexuals seem pretty misunderstood in my opinion. Gay people can actually be quite nice. However, i highly doubt that the film will convince anybody to change their opinions on gays. Nothing really does. in the end it ends up like this:

Man #1: why are you homophobic?

Man #2: Because Fags are different than me and I dont understand them. l fear what i dont understand.

Man#1: Gays arent that much different

Man #2: Fuck you you fag

You're right; Leviticus also doesn't specifically say "marriage is not meant for homosexuals," but it does say homosexuals must be put to death (Leviticus 20:13). Leviticus also instructs against wearing clothes of two different fabrics (Leviticus 19:19) and shaving (Leviticus 19:27). The book condones the cruel practice of stoning as well (Leviticus 20:27, Leviticus 24:16). If this where you're getting your morality from, you might want to consider reading the entire book.

What religion are you speaking of? My first guess would be Christianity, but the Bible doesn't say anything about gay marriage. I'm just wondering where you got the impression that your religion "speaks otherwise" about gay marriage.

Actually, Christianity does speak otherwise. Homosexuality is condemned in several places. It's also spelled out in Leviticus (I believe) that marriage is a union between a man and a woman. It may not specifically say, "Marriage is not meant for homosexuals" but it does imply such.

More Agnostic than Atheist. Sometimes atheists are just as hell bent and self-rightious as Christians in regards to their views. There is no point arguing about religion. It's like trying to tell a 4 year old that Santa doesnt exsist; they won't absorb the information because they don't want to.The illusion and mass-fed fantasy is far more appealing and less scary than the truth, which is the unknown. What interesting about the bible is that it has been changed again and again by different people so It cant really be trusted. Plus Constantine changed the bible in the 9th century and although times were rough he was a profound homophobe.
