@lordmasterization POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT Gears of war is actually a novel series. So yes we do know what three's plot will be about they've just made tweeks on the details to change it up. For example in the end of the novels Baird betrays the team and attempts to kill Marcus but gets shot by Cole. Something that will most likely happen near the end

@JokerMr13 Yes there is a Gears of War series of books, but they're more side stories that flesh out the setting, none of the games are based on the plot of the books. Now, there's a book that takes place between 2 and 3, so it happens after 2 but it's not going to be the plot that 3 follows.

@mandarinduck Knowing how they've done this so far, they will use peices of the novels plot to connect the game and also give the readers something they can recognize. Though they may take a different ending of climax to it than the book, they will still follow in a mixed plot of both their own and the one the book follows.

Epic set it up that the one with more purchases would decide his fate, and it turns out that he's apparently going to live. That's also why his concept art makes him look like a badass!

@serialkiller77 Well that's where I disagree, I think this trailer is fantastic and it shows what Gears of War SHOULD feel like. I wish I could say that I love the games as much as this trailer and that the gameplay is that intense where you're running into a huge battle with a meatshield as your only cover, but sadly the game always has a pretty low-risk feel to it with little in the way of surprises.
