is it true they hibernate? if so what do you for them during that time? do you still feed them? how often do you clean the tank during that time... ect .ect... im interested in them. Ive had snakes in the past, I was thinking about getting a Tego, or a bearded... thanks for the input!

@Lamsam123 Females shouldn't really have any jowls. Their neck will be pretty much flat.. Males will have the huge, chunky jowls. They take a while to develop though and they have to be well fed and taken care of for the jowls to become prominent.

Very carefully. Reptiles quicks which are in their nails are very close to the tip. You just have to clip the very tip off, to blunt it.

Moose really is a brilliant tegu. I wish mine was still around. Good luck with your reptiles, for now I'm quitting the hobby and focussing on my studies, Monti will still stay with me, but when she passes I will not continue with reptiles until my studies are over. ONce again thanks for your help

I asked around and in the UK I can get a young-to-medium B&W tegu for £200. Raineys fun with hers really make me take a shine to them. Kindof dropped the whole Nile Monitor thing after I read up on them and decided I might try one of these guys. MUCH easier. xD

And me getting MY tegu might be a lot sooner than we think. I believe my viv stack arrives iinnn... -Looks at watch- ... 15 hours. MWAHAHAHAHAHA! : D Spare room!
