hey so i did everything this vid told me too and my 1st gen iphone turned pink but when i opened up quick pwn it said i had to browse for the firm ware and i did, but now its saying it doesnt match.......wat did i do wrong, i need help?

hi bro thanks for the video but having a bug with this one

i was using 2.2.1 jailbroken iphone 3g

and i was using vodafone india and was able to make phone calls,text etc.

but after updating the firmware

it says no sim installed and i am not able to make call

um i just when u get to the last step turn off your phone while its connected to the computer and just turn it on take your finger off the power directly. then hold down the home till it boots in recovery mode

to get this straight, i have an iphone 2g 2.1 firmware working with t-mobile... and if i just follow these steps it will work completely without me having to re unlock it again???

I just have one question about this upgrade. Is it possible to use turbo sim on a 2.2.1 iPhone 3G to unlock it, then update the firmware to 3.0 and have the turbo sim still work on the 3.0 which doesn't support it, after jailbreaking it with activation, like the steps taking in your video?

:D i got the picture of the pumpkin thing now. Had trouble, wouldnt be picked up by quickpwn then i slipped my finger off the home button so after quickpwn was done my phone didnt restart (that must be what happens). I had to repeat :(.

do not press unlock in quickpwn it will just mess it up as long as you updated from 2.2.1 you will preserve your unlock then just up date to 3.0 this unlock works with 2g not 3g

the unlock only works if you have a unlocked 1st gen iphone with firmware 2.0~~~2.2.1 then all you have to do is update to 3.0 and jailbreak and activate using quickpwn3 beta 3
