What a superb video of a wonderful garden railway. Your expert filming and sympathetic editing has created a littler masterpiece. I just loved the night shots.
A truly inspirational example to those of us who like making little videos of our own garden railway. Many thanks and sharing and do keep up the filming!!!
What a cracking little railway, it certainly recreates a lost age of England (or did that age actually really exist?) Complete with appropriate music that doesn't drown out the sound of the trains. Beautifully done. Congratulations. (I'm a bit worried about that road engine with no driver though!) I love the narrow gauge and am a long-time volunteer of the GLR in Somerset btw.
In all honesty, I think that video is one of the best garden rail videos I have ever watched! Just superbly shot and edited, even driven! The music also fits it perfectly, a very nice piece. Well done!
Many, many thanks for your ever kind words. It was a great day (any excuse to run steam trains) and we raised £200 for the Wilmslow Wells for Africa charity as well. Watch this space for the out-takes!
@MrRichardweston Fantastic! So how are these events run? People turn up, and pay a donation to come and watch the steam trains? Sounds an excellent idea!
@ColumbineMHLR Sorry for the delay in replying. The events take place every year and the people of Wilmslow open their gardens to the public to raise money for the charity. You buy a ticket and it allows you access to all the gardens involved. Because of the railway we were invited to take part and on the day we were tthe most popular garden of the event. Through the sale of ice creams, drinks etc we were able to raise the money for the charity. I'll send you an invite for the next one.
@MrRichardweston No worries! And that sounds like a lovely day, what a great way of fundraising. As for the invite, thank you very much, however, Cornwall to Cheshire is a long way, so unless I am in the area at the time, I doubt I would be able to make it as much as I'd love to! Cheers, Peter.
i love model steam engines i could sit and watch them all day and not get tired of it
