  • i always end up singing to this song and a few other creed songs

  • yes it was a good song but you gotta know, every song on this album is one of their best songs

  • lmao some dumbass pressed dislike.. LONER!

  • @TBONESAVAGE69 it was Myles Kennedy haha jk

  • I have played this song in many dreams or days-of-vues it keeps me happy ass and content. And drinked

  • i felt like i was the shit for a long time cuz i had human clay nd my own prison x) but in all honesty the music really speaks to meh nd i can relate

  • I didn't care for the commercial aspect of Creed, but there isn't any disputing that they sold something people wanted, and that can't be that bad at the end of the day. You people crack me up with how pissy you get with each other over who you think sucks and who doesn't. Taste is a subjective thing. What sucks to one person is a masterpiece to another. Grow up and realize everyone's different.

  • I normally hate when bands or whatnot do stuff like this, but am slowly figuring out the reason they do... Basically, I'm here to ask, or spam, whatever, if anybody here would be interested in checking out our band page. We're a brand new group named Overshadowed and just recorded our demo, and we're looking to find people who like ACTUAL music to, hopefully, check us out, leave a comment, etc...

I know those people will be on a Creed page, so I thought I'd give it a shot! Thanks

  • anyone ever notice Creed haters are lacking in intelligence? Some of these user comments bashing them make me fear for the future of the human race because the arguments are so poor.

  • Creed rules you f*cking heratic!

  • Classic Mark Tremonti guitar solo right here. I wish they still played this song live.

  • Is it just me, or does this song sounds a lot like "To Whom It May Concern", a song they did for "The Scorpion King" soundtrack (One of the greatest Licensed Music soundtracks of the 2000s IMHO, along with the "The Queen of the Damned" and the "Spider-Man" [especially the first movie] soundtracks)?

  • @emsaund now that you mentioned it, check out the One Last Breath video, the guitar player looks like a Bobble head LOL this band has a few good songs, but the singer is a major douche wad

  • @TheHAZE1220 Yeah, I know man. If I were their manager, I would have demanded that they rebuild their image around the drummer. He's the most talented in the group. Hypothetically speaking of course, as their manager, my suggestions would be very simple and covered by only two major points:

    1. Scott Stapp needs to stop being a douche

    2. Stop Mark Tremonti from bobbing his fucking head up and down like a fucking bobble headed kids toy.

In fact, I'd just kick Tremonti out of the band.

  • Any one gotta dime?Grteat song!!!!

  • Creed blows, and they always will. Especially that stupid guitar play that does nothing but stand there and bob his stupid head up and down. I mean really man, he looks so fucking stupid.

  • @emsaund

4 Multi platinum albums and one that went diamond. Yeah, Creed blows.....

  • @emsaund Your entitled to your opinion but I'm certain he's alot more talented and liked than yourself so shut your ass up raging because your a failure dickweed

  • @ChrisConstantine07 What the fuck does "Shut your ass up raging because your a failure dickweed" mean? What you just said is as stupid as the bobble headed guitar player from Creed.

Do us all a favor and delete your post, take an English 101 class, then come back and try to repost a coherent sentence. Not only is your sentence structure chock full of grammatical errors, but you're making yourself look as stupid as the guitar player. And please tell us you don't vote...

  • @emsaund My english is just fine asswipe, your the one coming on a creed video then bashing the guitarist and there's only 2 reasons why you would do that. 1: because your a fat trolling fuck that has nothing better to do and wants some attention from his lonely and pathetic life. 2: your an absolutely failure as anything even remotely resembling a musician so you make yourself cream over bashing amazing guitarists like tremonti. So how about you delete your posts and get a life your prick :)))

  • @ChrisConstantine07 See? There you go again:

    "your an absolutely failure".......

You mean, "You're an absolute failure", don't you? Even after I point out your obvious illiteracy, you continue to make the same illiterate mistakes, over and over again. Kinda reminds me of Tremonti's head bobbing up and down, over and over again. You must be a worthless Democrat. I bet you are, aren't you?

  • @emsaund Mark Tremonti has more talent in his pinky than you'll ever have. He's one of the best of his generation.

  • @emsaund why

  • One of the best songs in the world

  • SO glad this is coming back to the setlist during the 20-10 tour. :)

  • btw this music is not religious

  • @popan11 ummmm...are you crazy? yes it is. religion doesnt have to mean god. its what you believe. :P and most of there music is about their relationship with god, so suck it.

  • @birdman89100 no it isn't. This song is about un-wanted attention that he received.

'A Pity for a Dime' is about un-wanted attention and un-wanted temptations. This song is about an artificial season covered by summer rain.

  • Scott Stapp is loved by me. Scott Stapp did not leave the country because of the same reasons Miley Cyrus did'nt have enough time to sign all those autographs for all the kids!

  • from the only good creed album.

  • Their best album so far and i love the bit when the guitar picks up great hanks for the upload mannnnnnn

  • whos the singer that sings in the album weathered? is that scott? and creed broke up?!?!?! OMG!!!

  • Scott Stapp and they are back

  • @sweetsongman1

scott stapp is the singer in weatherd, and they split up about 6 years ago, the band had 3 albums with singer miles kennedy under the band name alter bridge, and scott done some solo work, following 'conflicting artistic influences' but they have reformed and released an album, and are planning a tour, just hope there 'world tour' this time actually leaves america, unlike the last new ablum in circle and its immense

  • @shaggyego good research here....I had no clue...thanks for sharing.

  • erm, cant tell if your being serious or not, but thankyou and your welcome anyway lol, im watching them with eagle eyes at the moment, to see if theyre ever gonna play in the uk again... the moment they do, im there lol

  • @PhoenixAquua2012 yes, I was serious....thanks again. I enjoy their music, even if people call it Christian music, I disagree fundamentally....it's Scotts personal strife with his upbringing....

    :-)

  • Its scott and they broke uo but have done a comeback now :)

  • stapp is talking about how when his bad decisions and the consequences of those choices caught up with him, he didn't know where to turn or how to react, so all he could do was to feel sorry for himself, and try to get others to do the same thing

  • Lyrics from songs will "mean" whatever you want them to mean. They are not specific to anything in particular.

If being homeless is what this song means, then so be it.

  • @PhoenixAquua2012 Well darn-it I thing the lyrics of this song are about the first verse. The first verse : An Artificial Season Covered by Summer Rain. The rest of the song follows the very first verse, like a good melody should. Scott Stapp is a good musician.

  • @PhoenixAquua2012 Lots of Floridians appear to be 'home-less' when, in truth, they are not really.

  • It isnt as literal as that. It has a deeper meaning. Its about how we are all so disconnected from this world and with each other. all lost souls. Self pity is also a downer...let go of self pity & self denial and let the tears wash away those years.. Pity is only worth a dime...do not dwell on it...

  • cont......find yourself and connect with the universe and the peole around you through love & peace. This is what this song says to me...but we are all different and it could mean something else to another. just keep your heart open!

  • The lyrics of the song will take on the meaning of what it is that resonates with you. Birdman.

    peace

  • Haha I like the description for this video, so true.

Scott Stapp is a terrible band leader and singer. Kind of like an pompous, poor man's Eddie Vedder.

  • @SuperSoupy YaKnow' Ya'Know Ya'Know what? Your right about poor because Scott Stapp, my boyfriend, always worked very very har for his money and Scott Stapp learned the hard way. Scott Stapp and Eddie are different because Eddie had a few ladies pay the way for his ass but Scott Stapp always paid his own way. In addition, Scott Stapp did not want to be the leader of the band like his friend did. Scott Stapp is a Fabulis singer.

  • My favorite Creed song.

  • good song

  • not the right singer??? your tripping... scott would sing you in a circle you would never find your way out of.. and me also

  • Wow, I don't remember listening to this video 2 days. Talk about short-term memory.

Ha, this is still an awesome song.

  • creed rulz!

  • Honestly, I cannot say which Creed song is my favorite. I gotta say they are all my favorite (#1). I love this song 'cause it just confirms that we lose our faith and man and not in God.

  • this song and my own prison are my favorite creed songs

  • AppolosVengeance, you're an idiot. Marshall is only one of the best bassist in music. Just listen to the base riffs in "what if" and Phillips is amazing on the drums. He never misses anything. I do agree that Tremonti is one of the best in the world on the guitar and Creed wouldn't be what it is without him but Creed wouldn't be who they are without any musician in that band

  • They are all incredible! I saw them live at Riverbend in Cincinnati with Scott Stapp and they all rocked! The drummer NEVER missed a beat and they played every good song they had! Ironically the guitarist seemed to mess up a few times which messed up Scott but other than that it was perfect!

  • creed got back together said on webn radio months ago

  • Saw them on Fox and Friend 06/26/09. Can't wait till 9/24/09 in San Antonio, Yeah baby. Glad they're back !!!

  • dont u think its weird that scott stapp has shaved is head

  • Their first album was all that mattered.

Loved it. And that means a lot coming from a very none religious guy :)

  • creed is not a christian band

  • Comment removed

  • yes it is

  • Actually they are not. Offically they are secular. Like P.O.D.

  • Comment removed

  • Creed Sows The Good Seed ! Sing a New Song.

Psalms 33 - Play Music Loud ! Drums & Strings, etc...

  • greatest hits???

  • This isn't on the greatest hits CD. This was never a single.

  • ya pity for a dime isnt on the greatest hits...what the fuck

  • man, this is my favorite creed song.

  • Alter Bridge has One Day Remains and BlackBird,

Scott Stapp has The Great Divide.

    Alter Bridge is awsome

  • staind is only good if you prefer to stay a depressed zombie wandering through life unaware of whats really going on.

  • I believe this song is on the My Own Prison album.

  • yes it is

  • Wasn't the right guy? Scott Stapp was the life source of Creed, and, allegedly, he destroyed it. Now he's back to normal in his faith in God and Creed is rumoured to reunite for a one time tour this year!

Scott Stapp is doing great on his own too and his second album, also to be released this year, should be magnificent.

  • there not re uniting, there both recording an album, alter bridge their third and scott his second.

although creed was a great band, there better off apart.

  • I said a one time tour, which is a rumour.

  • Saw AB,couldn't compare to Creed !

  • Thanks,Scott Stapp would appreciate that comment bro.Merry Christmas, Jayso08

    P.S.Creed 4 life.

  • I loved Creed as well, but I also think that Alter Bridge's singer is amazing. He has a 4 octave vocal range- that's amazing. Also there music is just as amazing as Creed's was- the same people are writing it- the only big difference is voice and lyrics. Still, I like them both- and they each have different strengths.

  • imo alter bridge is better...tremonti in alter bridge can show us what artist he really is

in creed he was blocked by this motherfucker stapp...the blackbird album is the album of 2007 !

  • hater! Both bands are good but Scott Stapp has vocals that are amazing, Alter Bridge is ok

  • in all reality myles kennedy has better vocals by far.. i did like creed they were the second band i liked.. but... Alter Bridge is definitely better.. they shine alot more better instruments and more variaty in the vocals

  • @BoricuaLilG Scott Stapp vocals are the best vocals for year 2000 and he is the New Millenium King Number One. Myles Kennedy is great, he sounds so so very sincere about stuff too. Myles Kennedy is New Millenium King Number Two.

  • @ErickaCable

That made absolutely no sense. You have no clue about music. Fuck off and die.

  • naaaa.... Stapp+Tremonti=Tight Machine... Myles+Tremonti: a band making music.

  • @pantokrator1988 The blackbird album got a kick-start from that nice gentleman Scott Stapp!!! Scott Stapp the New Millenium King!1

  • this is not from human clay, this is from my own prision (1997)

  • Which is what I said...?

  • @Skillet593 nice song

  • old songs from him like 5-7 years old are better than the new

  • my favorite song he is the best!!!

  • ........¶¶¶¶¶¶............¶¶¶¶¶¶...... ....¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶....¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶...... ..¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶........¶¶¶¶...... ¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶........¶¶¶¶...... ¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶....¶¶¶¶¶ ...... ¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶ ..¶¶¶¶¶...... ..¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶.... ......¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶...... ..........¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶...... ..............¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶...... ..................¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶...... ......................¶¶¶¶...... ........................¶¶
  • mark tremonti is my hero

  • first of all scott is an amazing singer and the group went plantinum many times ..... yes he went through a tough divore which caused him to be an alchoholic ....but even when they formed alter bridge he still sold more albums with his solo the great divide so ;you guys can suck it ! cuz creeds sound is scott stapp and it rocks

  • Who are you talking about... Tremonti? Or Stapp?

  • Stapp, about nisa2009's comment that Creed's sound is scott stapp.

  • AMEN!

  • HELLZ YEAH!!!! Creed 4EVER! ^_^

  • yeah scott is amazing i like both creed + alter bridge, scott solo album is gonna kick ass, im glad they broke up only cuz tremonti is gettin more exposure and now there is another great band and scott solo career which equals more great music, but i do miss creed they kicked ass

  • damn skippy! :D Creed fuckin owned but Alter Bridge sucked the band wasn't shit without Scot

  • This song isnt as well known as their others but is just as good.Creed is my favorite rock band. They are awesome.

  • The solo owns!

  • didnt they form alter bridge?

just new singer or somthing i think. mayby not...

  • Yeah...the band from Creed moved onto Alter Bridge, but Scott went off and made some solo album.

  • @Skillet593 the great divide. good album. a lot of conflict between scott and the band members was the real reason why they split up. glad theyre back together!

  • my utmost favorite tune of all their music........they ended to soon!

  • you know they're coming back right?

  • what? creeds coming back?

  • scott is a good writer and singer but sometimes he overdoes the singing

  • yeah, Scott sings better too

  • I think creed is better to. There lyrics are very moving.

  • Yep

  • I think Creed was one of the best. Without Scott, they would've been just okay. I don't think Alter Bridge compares at all. I like every song by Creed! I can't say that about any other bands that I like.

  • (1) Pity for a Dime - Great Song, (2) Creed - NOT a Christian band, (3) Stapp - big idiot, (4) Alter Bridge - Awesome (also not a Christian band).

I am a Christian, and I enjoy Creed's music. However, they were not and never claimed to be a Christian band. Stapp's lyrics contain some spiritual imagery due to his upbringing and personal struggles. Is Stapp a Christian? I don't know. He doesn't act like it...but I guess no one is perfect. He could probably try a little harder, though.

  • Groovage83,

in response to what you said and I, in no way, mean any disrespect. But Scott Stapp's new music is actually pretty good, but you're right it doesn't compare with Creed.

Nor does Alter Bridge in my opinion.

as for him being a christian, yes he is. even though he doesn't act like on. we all have our own personalities to follow. and we make some bad decisions. it's life. you can't judge him for not acting on his relationship with God. We all does something that hypocrifies us.

  • No disrespect taken. I agree with you that we are all hypocrites at some point or another; and, as you said, I cannot judge Scott's heart. I only know what the Bible says in Matthew 7. Either way, it's between him and God. I hope he gets everything straightened out. (hypocrifies - nice word by the way) ;)

  • Wasn't this song on Human Clay?

Erm. Anyway. By your definition of "Christian" most every band probably fits. Christian background and upbringing. Just my two cents I guess.

  • Nope...it's #4 on their CD, "My Own Prison".

  • Scott stapp might have got a little prideful about himself, but his lyrics made a big difference in the band.

  • they werent a christian band!

  • Not as much as other bands, but they had to have had some Christian backgrounds. Just listen to songs like "My Own Prison" and "one".

  • uyes read some bios on scott on the enternet he had a very christian bringing up, but in every interview about creed scott is always recorded as saying everyone thinks they are because of their refrences but they arent, and u would think that higher had something to do with heaven buts scott had a dream and had inpiration from that.

  • my own prison had nothing to do with christian, scott had a few rough years before creed and he was quoted saying " it w as like i was trapped in my own prison" so thats where that came from, only the end has some refrence to being christian, one had noting watsoever of being christian, a better example would be torn or one last breath.

  • I Like Scott Stapp But He Wasnt Always The Best Christian xD

His Way Of The Christian Life Was To Get Drunk On Saturday Beat The Shit Out Of Someone Then Go To Church On Sunday XD

  • no ones perfect, and he was always the first to say that, i think and hope hes changed for good now,new wife and daughter, and a new album this year, with a new band, so things are looking up for him now, just hope he can stay on the good roads now.

  • New album...new band? What and who?

  • type scott stapp then press date added on youtube, and it will come up with his latest blog entry, the new members talk, and he talks about the new albem and stuff its cool, i think theres three clips. you also can go to scottstapp.myspace

  • Scott Stapp band, The Great Divide is the album

  • oooh, great video. =:)
