I flew qantas a while back from tokyo to sydney. their service was ok but the aircraft was old (boeing 767) and did not have any inflight entertainment apart from music which was very surprising considering it was a medium/long-haul flight. I personally think cathay is one of the best airlines especially for their economy class
Great vid, only thing that I could ask for is some footage of the meal service and meals themselves. Would you recommend flying Cathay, are they better than Qantas?
@HHHappyHammer i recently flew on the Qantas 747 and even though the seat was more comfortable, the AVOD failed mutiple times and had to be reset and the service was not even close to the quality that Cathay provide, Qantas just doesn't compare, thx for the comment
@BrisbaneAir Same with me, when we went on a Qantas 747-400 from SIN-FRA the AVOD was broken for the ENTIRE FLIGHT. They apologized and said that they had tried to unsuccessfully fix it on the ground. Even still that is really poor performance from a premium airline such as Qantas.
I have tried on Cathay's new seats. They do recline. Personally, I think it is quite good because if you recline, you will not interrupt the person at the back (who is watching TV). So when it is sleeping time, you can still watch your personal TV in the right angle.Thanks for your video!
@redsfootball This was an A340-300, seats recline in a shell seat arrangement and the padding is very thin, uncomfortable on the back long-haul, only positive is that people don't invade your space and easier to get out of. thx for the question.

@PhilipDK5800 Yes those seats r most definitely the seats of death, even on an 8 hour flight it was painful, i just felt sorry for the people connecting to London who had to endure more pain, thx for the comment

This reminds me of the first time I've ever been in an airplane with a clear memory. It was 2006, with Cathay Pacific from Toronto to Hong Kong, the flight was unforgettable. The cabin crew was very nice, but the most unique thing was that they were all in different uniforms because of their 60th anniversary. Good times, good times.

This reminds me of the first time I've ever been in an airplane with a clear memory. It was 2006, with Cathay Pacific from Toronto to Hong Kong, the flight was unforgettable. The cabin crew was very nice, but the most unique thing was that they were all in different uniforms because of their 60th anniversary. Good times, good times.
